Our Bintan Angsana trip - Day 1

WL wanted a short trip during the march break but he was having a course for the first 3 days of the week, so we only left with Thursday onwards for a short getaway!  And only somewhere nearby is good for so many of us!!  And he ended with Bintan! Hahaha... Though it's only a 3D2N getaway, it costed about $2k for the 5 of us!

As our ferry was at 2:30pm, we need to check in at the ferry terminal by 1:30pm, so we decided to have our lunch before boarding!! And after checking out the parking charges, WL decided to drive over and park our car there over the 3 days.

This is a small ferry terminal, therfore, option is also limited!! There's only a Killiney kopitiam and a halah eatery. Surprisingly, this Killiney sells lots of food!!

The kids settled with chicken rice and my Alvan would be chicken noodles!!

View of our ferry after our passport clearance... It's a long walk to board the ferry!!!

Each of us got a seat onboard and there's even tv show along the way. As it's a 45 min trip over, Ashley had a short nap and the 2 boys were catching the Madagascar show. There's also an hour time difference over at Bintan! So by the time we are there, it remains 2:30pm! Hahaha...

Reached Bintan!!

It was such a coincidence that we bump into our family friend, HN and Ivy before our lunch!!!  Haha... However, we were not staying at the same place, as they had a bigger party, so they went into a villa! Glad to have her to take a family shot for us right after alighting the ferry!

Alvan will be a good porter when he grows up!! Hahaha... Snatching to pull the luggage on his own!

Upon arrival at our hotel, we were brought to a seat and wait for our check in and room to be ready.

Complimentary chocolate mint drink for each us.. Only for check in guests...

A view of the place we would be taking of our meals during our stay...

We were requested to upgrade our room to a 2-room suite due to so many of us. And this is really a big room, with a living room, a small kitchen with a microwave only and a small dining table, 2 rooms with attached toilet.

The 2 kids requested to sleep in this room with 2 single beds!

And a king size bed for daddy n mummy... And I think they had made a mistake of a birthday greeting on our bed! Hahaha...

Alvan happy with the white study table!

Ashley posing for a photo in their room...

The nice view of the beach and swimming pool from our balcony!!

We decided to go for the beach after settling our room.  And this photo was taking by a stranger for us...

The kids just can't get enough of beach, sand and water!!! They were having such awesome time that they refused to go back to the room!!! And lucky we were staying at the beach, so cleaning was much easier!!! The sand over here was sooooo fine that it's hard to get rid of once it got stuck onto our hands!!

At the end of the day, my 3 kids were half wet!!

Selfie of me n hb!! :D

By the time we go for our dinner, it was like close to 8pm!! And the service or the night was horribly long!!!  The food was served only after Alvan slept!!!

WL had ordered their Ikan bakar *i can't really recall what he had ordered!!!*, it came only like 1.5 hours later!!!  And it was of the fish he didn't like, black pomfret!!! The serving was really huge, consider the size of the fish is always the same size I bought to serve our family of 6!! Lol...

My dear hb was telling me how wonderful his coffee was... Coffee with banana!! *it was pretty yucky for me* :p

This was the best, keropok with their sambal balacan!! Good!! But I was still having some sore throat so didn't get to eat till am happy... :(

My spaghetti with pesto... The sauce and everything was nice, but the spaghetti was abit too hard... :(

My angry Adwin refusing to be in the picture... His favorite, fusilli with carbonara sauce!! This is better than my...

Ashley and her fish and chips (kids meal)!!

This basically ended our day 1 in Bintan!!
