Our kids having their own breakfast

This is the first time my 3 kids sat together on the table together for a meal! And so happy to see them growing up together and loving each other's company!

*pardon the white lot of clothings on the table! It was baby's pyjamas, accidentally left it there after changing him! Haha...

Our late lunch at the Singapore Botanical Gardens - Casa Verde

We had a super late lunch on 19 May at this restuarant and as per our last visit in 2008, it was a last minute decision to eat here! Haha...

Ok, we had wanted to go for the Navy Open house in the morning, having left our house at about 9:30am, went for a full breakfast near our place before heading to the Expo. As we were not allowed to drive over, they had provided a free shuttle bus service at the Expo. And by the time we reach the Expo, it was close to 11am! And guess what? We were already stuck at the 2nd junction before the actual carpark!! And my dear hubby, who is super inpatient, was really frustrated with the jam that only after 5mins being stuck there, he had decided to abort the mission!! And to be able to make a U turn at the junction in front, we had to be stucked for another 30mins before we had U turn!

Since we can't go to the Opem house, we decided to bring the kids to the museums! And I learnt about the free entrance to all our museums, off we go!! And they were having some activities for the children, but with our unplanned trip, we just popped by to the nearby museum along that way!!

The first museum was the Singapore Philatetic Museum, my childhood favorite hobby, stamps collecting!! It was really an eye opener trip for the kids!! WL bought each of them a stamp album to kick start this hobby!! And I also let them post out a post card each so they understand how a letter/postcard gets delivered to our mail box!

Next museum was the Perankan Museum! The kids had fun finding the stamp station to get a embossed print onto the sheet given out at the reception counter!

And but the time we are done with the museum visits, it was close to 3pm! We had intended to pop by the Killiney for some toasts and light lunch, but the getting a car park lot is a killer around that area! So we had to abort this idea again! And after making a few turns around orchard road, we decided to pop by the nearby botanic gardens! Again, another mistake of WL to have missed the car park entrance to the food court, we went to the next car park! And since the kids were pretty hungry, we had to eat at the nearest place, the Casa Verde!

And we were really happy with the food and the servings!! Everything we ordered were really nice! Haha... Or were we really hungry? Haha...

This was what I ordered, the club sandwich and a watermelon juice!!

The kids had a mix platter each, which were what they liked!!

And for WL, he had a deluxe or mega breakfast and a iced coffee!

After our meals, we went around the gardens, a nice park really! But no performance this weekend, the next performance will be on 1 June! And to end our day, we decided to pop by the Island Creamery for a nice cold ice cream!

The new blogger app

I can't remember when I did an update to the blogger app on my iPad, but am loving it now!! As am able to say things about the pictures once I selected them for insertion!! Just like how I can update my blog on my laptop!! But now, it's much more convenient as all my photos are taken with my iPhone and the photos got sync into my photo stream, in which I can access with my iPad!! So.... I should be update my blog MUCH MORE often I hoped!! Haha... :p

Trying to catch the sunrise on Vesak day!

Baby had always been a early bird since Ashley went into the morning session in CFS! And I really wondered how come he's so smart to detect that am no longer in the room sleeping but busy waking Ashley up, making sure she's taking a proper breakfast before sending her to school!  He would always get up about 5-10mins after I leave him alone in the room sleeping!

And I guessed it had became a habit of him to get up at 6am!! And so, he got no idea of what is a Public Holiday!!  He had gotten up today, Vesak Day (PH), at 6am, without fail!! And WL had mentioned the night before, that I should try to get up early and bring the kids to catch the sunrise at the reservoir (am so sorry about this, but I really can't recall the name of this reservoir, which is directly opposite the newly developed Estuary!)

And so, here we are, at the reservoir before 7am! And guess what?? We didn't catch the sunrise!? Haha?. As it was a pretty cloudy day and there was a big big patch of cloud that had blocked the nice view of the sun!!  See what I mean??...

Oh well, I did TRY to make an effort to watch the sunrise with my kids.... Blame it on the bad weather!! Haha... But I know my kids had a great time, cos they had brought along their favorite scooter to scoot there, which had created some nuisance to those trying to fish there in the big early morning!! Haha...

And see the 'am still sleeping' face on me??... One would find that taking pictures with an iPhone is super convenient BUT when you realized that you needed the self-timer function around, you would wished that you had a proper camera on hand!! Lol...

Anyway, I had a nice breakfast after this session, so that kinda made me feels better!! Haha... What did we had?  Eh... Again, I do not know the actual location of the market, as I had a good hubby who would drive us there when we request to have... Putu mayam, The Ang Mo Kio market!! Haha.... My man, my girl and my boy had wanton noodles and my baby had a taste of the fish porridge!! Happy... :)

Baby show at Nee Soon South cc

After baby's first winning at the baby competition at Chong Pang CC, I went and search for other baby competition for baby to take part!!! And found one near adwin's childcare!!! Haha... So, of I went to sign baby up!!!

We also took part in the scrapbooking competition here, thinking others would be as clueless as those families who took party in the Chong Pang CC one. And no, I was wrong!!! All the families were soooo well-prepared for it that we did not even got a consolation prize for it!!! :(

We were lucky that baby still managed to get a consolation prize for the healthiest baby section!! And first time for us, we got sooo lucky in the lucky draw section that we got prize 9th and 1st for it!!! Though all the prizes were sponsored by AIA, we were just happy that we were sooo lucky!!!

Oh yes, forgot to mention, it's Mother's Day today!!! Haha...

Our 3rd indoor photoshot

I bought a indoor photoshot session on groupon recently and finally got the appointment fixed on 9 may!! Reason for my purchase is cos the studio is just apposite our house!! Haha...

We stole some shots when the photographer was taking shots of the kids! Haha... The photographer let us have a sneak preview of all the shots after we were done, and as usual, I would love to get back all my shots!! Total shots taken was about 160!! And mind you, all these were taken within 30 mins!! And of cos, in order for us to get all the shots back, I need to top up!! Lucky the rate is still consider reasonable!! $68! So now is to wait for another 4-6 weeks for them to send me the DVD and then time for me to get busy with designing a photobook!!

Baby turns 17 months old!

Time files... My baby is officially a 17 months old toddler!!! He's getting really naughty nowadays, climbing and standing onto all chairs he sees!!! And he's able to wave bye, kiss goodbye, signal good (using his pointer rather than his thumb!) when he's being served with good and nice food, run around anywhere he goes, wave no when he doesn't want helper or anyone to carry him, knows to turn away in shyness when he meet strangers and he's enjoying chicken and fish and especially the carrots in my sweet corn soup! He's really growing up fast!!!

Our 3rd ice skating outing cum Mother's Day celebration

Today we went to the ice rink again!! All because the Groupon voucher is expiring this weekend and we are not able to go down during the weekend and purposely made an effort to go all the way to the west and change adwin's Chinese enrichment class to the next day so we can maximize the time there!!

Another reason for heading there was also to celebrate my mother's day with our children only. We will be busy with our niece's first birthday on Mother's Day!! Happening weekend ahead!! Haha...

This time, me and WL had some falls (me got a major fall and a according to WL, he had 4 falls!), and that made us tired and changed out of the skating shoes earlier to have some rest!! I had a hard knock on my head!!! It was so damn painful and I thought I had a head concussion! The crew who helped me up told me there my head got no bleeding!!! Yes, thank god for that!! But the pain was terrible!!! I really felt like my skull was going to crack open!! And am super worry if really something happened to me, what would happen to my 3 children, especially baby Alvan, who's sooooo attached to me for now!! And I must pray hard nothing will happen!!! Scary thought, especially on my 2nd Mother's Day with my 3 kids!!!

Ok, back to my topic!!! Ashley was skating much smoother and faster this time, without a penguin! Adwin continued using one, and he's still a happy skater!!! And I think, a much safer one among us!!! Haha...

Anyway, I had told WL, this would be MY last skating outing, please do not get anymore coupons should there be one again!!! My fall had really frightened me!! Even WL after a few falls this time, said its scary and painful especially for a big guy like him!!! Haha... I guess the older we gets, the more we are afraid to fall!!

And this time, baby Alvan managed to do some walking inside, other then eating and sleeping only!! And he was so happy when he saw those penguins lining up at the side!!! Even those lockers near the benches for people to change into their ice skating shoes, got attracted to the lockers there!!! He was happily opening and closing all the empty lockers!!! My boy....

After our ice skating, we went to the Canton Paradise to celebrate my Mother's Day!! The dishes were pretty tasty and nice!! It was a very nice dinner!!! Thank you hubby for making an effort to celebrate my mother's days!!

My koala bear baby...

My baby had recently been super sticky to me... Worst when he's having a running nose these few days!!! I can't leave him playing with the maid when he sees me taking dinner! He can't see me working in kitchen and him playing with his toys! He would always follow me wherever I goes!! And last night, he decided to stand at the wall next to me when I was having my dinner!! So much so that he looked like being punished to stand at a naughty corner then to be playing cars with the maid!!! See my super duper cute baby!?? Haha... And he seems to be hiding away from the maid's vision too!! He purposely went under the dining table after standing for awhile, thinking the maid can't catch him out!! Haha... He was trying all means and ways to stay close to me!!! Maybe I should enjoy this special moment!! Hee hee... ;)

Our 2nd ice skating outing

WL grabbed 2 coupons when Groupons had this package online last month!! He was thinking of asking both our extended families along, as our 2 children had been telling all about their 1st encounter there and hoping they would join us the next time, but, no one can make it!! Haha...

We were pretty late when we got there last Saturday night. Had wanted to be there for the 7:30 to 9:30pm session but only managed to reach there at about 8:30pm! And by the time we went into the rink, it was 8:50pm!! :p

But the kids still enjoyed the session, Ashley refused to rent the penguin but we insisted on getting one for Adwin! And glad he went ahead with one, as he was happily skating away while Ashley and daddy trying to get a hold of themselves and warming up!! And for me, I had no choice but to join in the 'fun' as the package was for 2 adults and 2 children!!

But I thought it was pretty fun to be skating at night! It feels like a 'disco' ice skating thing!! Haha... The colourful lights were beaming around the rink with disco background music and most of the skaters were really youngsters!! Haha... But my old hb said, he felt giddy with all the lights beaming around the rink!! Old Liao.... Haha...

My failed pandan cake

This was the first time I tried making a pandan cake! And I had long heard of how tough it was so I went to buy the Prima brand ready pack to make, all I had to do was adding 5 eggs and some water! But I still failed!!! Lousy....

Haha... Ok, my guess on failure?! The mixture was not beaten long enough or it was over beaten!! Tough huh?? Yes for me!! So, am NOT going to try again!! The cake was half risen!! See my picture below!! And my dear hubby still say its nice, and jokingly told me, it taste like pandan pudding!!! And I just need to tell my 'taster' it's my new invention!!! What a joke!! :( but, I must really thank him for tr support!! ;)
