Adwin's 2nd baby pet

One aafternon during the Sept short school break, hb send me this photo!!! I was really shock to see 2 hamsters!!!  Well, reason for buying is because he had promised Adwin that he will be able to buy them as pet if he can score all subjects under Band 1 grading for his SA2! Therefore, here they are... rewards for working hard!!!

These 2 hamsters are nicked name, Pikachu and Polliwag, being the current hot game in our family!  And ironically, the fatter one is not Polliwag but Pikachu!!!  Hahahaa... these 2 hamsters are in this round white ball container as my Adwin is having the cleaning routine once a week to their cage and thus needs to put them somewhere safe!

Am impressed that he is able to handle the full cleaning process alone with a little help from the brother!! Sorry son, mummy is not able to render any help here as I can't handle any pets, not even fishes!! :p

Him catching and transferring the hamters into the ball container!  Despite him got bitten a few times by the hamsters, he is able to overcome the fear and proceed with his required tasks!!! Good job!!!

Our first kukup trip

I had been wanting to go Kukup for a long time after seeing some of my FB friends photos... many were photos of fun with family members especially with extended family or with a few close family friends! Mainly, photos of food prepared by the host and time for mahjong and karaoke sessions and foot massage at night followed by fire works on roof tops!!!

And this year, we finally had the chance to make the trip happened!!!  Taking the chance to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday with a short 2D/1N trip!!!

Our transport was here to pick us up at about 630am... driving us into JB thru Woodlands causeway... lucky no jam and we were able to reached JB for breakfast at own expense at a local coffee shop!  And along the way thought we can buy some durians to feast in kukup... but the so-called durian plantation was not impressive and the price quoted was not much cheaper... thus we decided to head straight to kukup!

Upon arrival, it was about 11am and we were brought into our ' resort ' by the host!  I must say, the resort was not fantastic, just the basic necessity and tidy.. not something very nice as I had seen on some online photos... thus we took some rest before heading out for our seafood lunch at 12+.

The restaurant we went was the only air con big restaurant in the small kukup village.  Food was more than enough for all of us...

After our lunch, we walked around the village doing some mini shopping at the row of non air con shop houses!  And my dad managed to buy some local durians here.  We managed to laze around the resort eating durians and some mahjong sessions... At about 3+, the host informed us that the tea break is ready! And we were so surprised to see a table of fried bee hoon, chicken curry, fried prawn crackers and green bean soup with sweet potato and tapioca! All were soo yummy!!!

At about 5pm, we proceed with a short boat ride at the fish village going onto a kelong....

We were able to see some nice houses along the coasts and many kelongs too!

View was simple and nice... especially when we are seeing this in Malaysia...

Shot of my baby having superb fun on the double decker bunk bed with his cousins!

We were served BBQ dinner at abt 7pm by the host... sorry forgot to take some shots here... but it was really lotsa food!!!  And had our cake cutting done but no more stomach to down the cake! Hahaa... But we were so busy after dinner as we need to go to the rooftop for fireworks and 天灯! After which, foot massages had been arranged in the house!!! And at about 10pm, supper was served!! We asked for simple barley with beancurd dessert! But was not able to finish all too!! Hahaha...

The next morning, breakfast was ready by 730am or 8am, but we were to tired thus did not wake up even when the host came in and wake us up!  But we were told that we need to leave by 10am to go to Pontian town for our arranged lunch!!

After lunch , we headed back to Singapore!!! So see, our trip was mainly eat and eat for a full day!!! Hahahaa...

Our 1st digital Piano is here!

The time has come for us to finally get a proper piano at home so the kids can have proper practise at home besides the 30mins they were on a piano during their weekly lessons!

I was having a hard trying to decide on buying an acoustic piano or a digital piano!! Well, reasons being, our house is small and we are practically in the living room either catching a TV show or having meals or just sitting around in the living room. And if I were to get an acoustic piano, we are not able to control the volume and if anyone needs to do something quiet, may go mad if anyone is on the piano! So, I was looking around for alternative and found digital piano to be a better option! But, having spoken to the children's piano sch person in charge, I was not able to firm up my decision on a digital piano! As she said that, later part if they were going for higher grading, I would still need to an acoustic piano as the feel and sound is different! So I was lost!!!

But I can only see the cons of a digital piano, so we went to a piano studio selling digital pianos and I had a chat with the friendly lady and we decided on getting the digital piano for a start!!!

And am glad we made this choice and children and us (the parents) are happy!! Kids are playing on it as and when they like, be it with ot without headphones and so far, no complain of "stop playing the piano, its so noisy!" Hahahaa....

Safra family 800m run 2016

This year, we took part in this Safra Family run.  And realised the last run we took part was 2 years ago! Last year was cancelled due to the haze.

This time, we managed to sign everyone up even our Alvan got the event's shirt! So cool huh?!?! Coincidentally, my SIL and family took part too!!! And we met them when we were about 100m away from the starting line!

Oh yes, this year, they got many of the different animals head bands to be distributed... which I thought was good cos we got no hands to hold anything on and putting on our head is effortless and makes us all look like safari animals running around the padang and along esplanade! Hahaha...

Finally reached the 800m finishing line!! Not very long but enough to make ME tired! 😛.

Walking towards the Medal collection point with 100plus and bananas being distributed to all participants!

Some game stalls for us to relax after the run...

All participants were given a free pen regardless of aiming correctly at the hole or not... so kids went 'lame game'... but their pens were really 'lame' cos all didn't last till we reach home! Superb lousy quality....

Anyways, we head over to Raffles Shopping center Vietnamese brunch before heading home to rest!!

Pokemon GO is here!!!

Ok, I first know of Pokemon GO thru our local news that some countried had accidents due to drivers playing pokemon GO on the road and in order to catch the pokemons they had stop suddenly and thus creating havoc accidents on highways or roads.... which was a shock to me, how would such things happened and what were the drivers thinking????

And, finally, this app is officially here in Singapore on 6 Aug!!! Many pokemon GO fans had happily downloaded the app early morning since it's launched and news had shown many park goers go to park to catch pokemons!!!

With my ever curious hb and a 'need' for him to know what's going on with the teenagers, he downloaded the app and intro to our kids... and so here we were (the next day since it's official launch) he brought us all to Bishan park for some catch!!!

And I was SOOOOO SURPRISED to see soooo many adults playing 'catching' in the park! Ok, I guess for safety reasons this is a much better location for locals to play their game without risking other or theirs lives!!!

My 2 bunnies!!! Hahaha...

I did not download this app till a week later... as my 3 kids would be snatching daddy's phone to play... so with my involvement, I hope less arguing and fighting!

This is my funny son posing with 'exeggutor' while I was trying to catch it!

This was taken by my son when we were at the market with me trying to choose mangosteen to buy and him trying to catch 'ratata'!!

Another phenomenon view of the Yishun park, its packed with many pokemon lovers!!! I was really shocked by the crowd!!! And I guess its good that many locals are moving around to parks and families are having more bonding times.. I have seen many mothers and children together catching pokemons!!!

Just wondering when would this pokemon trend last?!??!.... ehm...
