Our Xmas 2009

We did nothing special this Christmas, considering it's a long weekend for us. As mummy did not have to work on Xmas eve already, only jiejie had Xmas party in childcare in the morning, and she was off from 1pm onwards. So we went to 313 Somerset for some shopping & look around, trying to get some Xmas mood! hehe... And daddy bought the most expensive coffee from the Blue Mountain Cafe... but was very disappointed!! hahaha... And we had fried prawn noodle & the curry scissor rice from the Food Republic food court for dinner... :)

And for Xmas, we went for the movie, Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 @ Kallang Leisure park!! Had japanese food for lunch, and popcorn during the movie... And guess what we had for dinner?? Mummy & daddy went old kallang airport & take away spaghetti & porridge for dinner... No big feast for our Xmas! :( But we had lots of presents!! Hope it's Xmas everyday! haha...

Alvin & the Chipmunks 2

We caught Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 on Christmas day @ Kallang Leisure Park... And now my 2 kids are fans of the Chipmunks!! haha... But I thought this is a good movie... :p

Adwin is 2!!

We celebrated Adwin's 2nd birthday the last Saturday.  Had booked the 3D2N stay @ Costa Sands @ downtown east 3 months back!! Haha... Thought the kids enjoyed themselves very much during Ashley's birthday stay too, so might as well let the kids enjoy!!  And we went Wild Wild Wet for 2 days, Friday & Saturday & you can see how tanned my 2 kids are!!  But they had a super great time there!!

We had place an order from Fruit Paradise, Mango Tart for his birthday, wanting to try something different, but were very disappointed during my collection @ Tampines 1!!  When I passed them my "order form" (which had no numbers on the form, no place of collection indicated, no payment mode written on it!!) the lady say, we do not have this order form with us!! And we have no tart available for us!!  I reached Fruit Paradise @ 610pm, & our dinner reservation was 645pm @ UDMC Long beach!!  OMG... The lady says they will rush out the tart NOW, which took like 20mins, as 2 chefs were working on it.  The tart was still very nice when we had it, but was disappointed with the order.  And, the wordings was also wrong, so took some time to fix it... we had requested "HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY ADWIN" & guess what they put??!! "happy 22ND birthday adwin" OMG... my son suddenly turns 22!!! hahaha...

Adwin's new hair cut

Mummy been saying to bring me to a hair cut for sometime already, she finally did on Saturday night! haha... And mummy say I look really nice after the cut, makes me looks really fresh & cute!

Hi-5 @ Taka

I thought we were really crazy to help our 2 kids to catch a glimpse of their favourite Hi-5, but found that there were tons of parents doing that yesterday!! haha... We went for a wedding lunch yesterday @ Goodwood park and decided to bring the 2 kids down to Taka, to catch the 4pm performance by Hi-5.  After seeing how the 2 kids enjoy the dances and songs, we thought it would be good to be able to let them have a try on the meet & greet session with them, so we decided to stay for the 7pm performace.  And it's good that there's no minimum purchase required to join the meet & greet session, BUT I guess we need to join in the queue pretty early to be able to take part in the session.  So, while the kids are sleeping, I pop by at 5:50pm & saw a queue starting!! So, without further ado, I called WL to ask him to look after the 2 sleeping kids & me joining the Q! haha... so you see, I was like within the first 10 in the Q to get into the dance fall and WL managed to get #1 in the Q for the meet & greet session!!  See the photo above!! My 2 kids were so frightened on stage!! :(  I guess this would be our only chance to get SO CLOSE to Hi-5!!

Xmas decor @ AMK Hub

Daddy & mummy had wanted to bring us to AMK hub to catch the 'snow' in the evening, but mummy say we were too late... :(  so, only me & didi pose in front of the xmas for a pic to show that we've been here!! hahaha.... u'll see lots of me & didi's pic with xmas tree!!  Cos we really like posing with xmas trees & it's really fun to see so many huge xmas trees in shopping malls!! :D

And we like Santa Claus & Snowman!! :D

Marmalade Pantry

Daddy managed to find out where this Marmalade Pantry is on Sunday, so we went ION for lunch...  The penne was nice... Jiejie & me finished the kids penne meal mummy ordered for us!!  Daddy & Mummy say the sandwiches were nice... the crab linguine was normal... Here's the pic of the food...

And we saw a white Dino outside of Prologue during our lunch, so I insist mummy take a picture of me & jiejie with the white dino, while we were busy eating our cornflakes! hahaha... But hor, jiejie got time to pose too!! :p

Ashley's Graduation Concert

Its the time of the year for Ashley's Graduation Concert!!  This year, we really enjoyed ourselves, cos Ashley really enjoyed herself this time.  And she was involved in 3 of the items, with 2 sets of outfits.  Intially the teachers wanted them to in their own sets of uniform for the skit put up by the drama class, but after some rehearsals and consideration, they feel the uniform is not very outstanding on stage, so, they went up stage with their performance outfit, which I thought was a good move! hahaa..... here's some pics taken by my mobile, so is not very clear... :p

Fruit Paradise

We went to try some NICE cakes, or rather should be tarts, on Sunday @ Raffles Shopping Center... But we reached the cafe, jiejie was sleeping, so I had my first bite on the Mixed berries & Choco tart first... cos I LOVE the choco syrup!!  hee hee... Daddy ordered a platter set with a rice, cos mummy was afraid we'll be hungry... it was quite nice... according to Daddy & mummy, cos me & jiejie just like the RICE! haha...

Here's a pic of me & jiejie enjoying the tarts... & Daddy had placed an order for my 2nd birthday cake here!! So we can make a collection @ Tampines on the actual day, i.e. 12-Dec which is a Sat, cos mummy had booked for a 3D2N stay @ Downtown East! :D

Putting up Xmas Tree 2009

Xmas is coming... And the kids are so happy to see the Xmas decor at the malls and roads... So, WL put up the Xmas tree with the help of the 2 kids!!!  They did helped out from scratch to hanging up of the decos!!  It's really interesting... seeing them grow up and when festive seasons are here, they can really help... hee hee...

Weight of the kids...

As usual, got the weight of my 2 kids from visit to the doc...

Adwin: 13.1kg
Ashley: 17.4kg

Am glad my 2 kids are putting on weight.. hee hee... especially Ashley, as she's been super picky on her food recently, most of the time, she's only eating plain rice or porridge... she only eat veg or fish from all the coaxing when she's eating at my mum's place... cos her yiyi & yizhang will try to say all sorts of things to make her eat the veg or fish...

And yes, finally Adwin got his pneumococcal vaccine today!!  Had intend to bring him for the vaccine after he turns 2, as during Ashley's time, after 2 years old, the kid will only need to have 1 jab for it, but recently MOH had listed this as one of the compulsory vaccine for all babies, so long babies after 1 year old, only 1 jab is required! And according to the doc, so long kid is not having fever, they can have the vaccine!  And Ashley kind of had a shock after seeing didi taking the jab, he was crying so badly after the jab! :(

Xmas Tree -- Central @ Orchard

WL saw that the Xmas lightings are up @ orchard, so thought we should go down have a look to avoid the jam when Xmas is near... But we were wrong, due to APEC 2009, we were held in the jam from Tanglin Mall till Plaza Singapura! hahaha...

Oh yes, we went to Central @ Orchard for dinner as well... spoilt for choices of restaurants there... in the end, we went to try out Crystal Jade HK style restaurant... ehm... am quite disappointed with the food actually, and surprised that they do not have HOT HK Tea there, they only serve the cold one... but see how they serve the COLD HK TEA... hahaha...

A day out @ downtown east

This post had been pending for quite some time... cos mummy was busy with work...

Daddy & mummy brought me & didi to Downtown East on a Sunday (3 Nov) and we really enjoyed ourselves... Daddy had wanted to bring us to Wild Wild Wet... BUT mummy say no, cos me & didi were having flu & cough... :(

Ok, here's what we did for the day...
1) Daddy brought me to bowling... didi was sleeping so I was having a good time bowling myself... but it's the kiddy bowling lah, not the adult version.. hee hee...
2) First time, daddy brought me to have fun @ the painting corner... see my finished work below??
3) Didi got up, and we went to Xplorer Kids for FUN... we were having a super fun time there, till the end, mummy forgot to tell me she went to take pics of didi & I was thought they don't want me liao... running around the place crying & shouting for mummy... :(
4) Me fall asleep... Daddy & mummy decided to go for karaoke session... and had our dinner there too!!  mummy says the last time she went karaoke was when I was still in her tummy!! WOW... 5 years back!! haa haa... But everyone had fun... see me & didi singing?? :p

Daddy's Birthday...

Mummy & Daddy went for dinner without me & didi on Daddy's birthday... Cos mummy says they're going to a French restaurant & not able to bring me & didi along... BUT we get to blow out the candles when they're back with a cake! hee hee...

Mummy only share with us the pictures of the food they ordered.... :(  But she says the food was nice, it's something different compared to other French restaurant & Daddy enjoyed his only glass of red wine that night... Cheers! :D

Lunch @ The GreenHouse -- Bishan Park

WL brought us to the Green House for lunch on Sunday... Cos his collegues had brought him there for a farewell lunch one of the afternoon...   It's an interesting place, cos it's at the entrance to Bishan Park, and it looks quite popular to the caucasians...

We had always try to take more veg in our diet... and Green House is a western vegetarian restaurant...  eh, am I impressed??  Yes to the menu, but was quite disappointed when the food arrives... hahaha... My kids were  not enjoying their lunch, I do not know if it's due to the food (cos Ashley hates all the GREEN food & Adwin was reluctant to have a try....)  But I must say, the chicken rice chilli is really great!! hahaha...

I often wonder if Adwin is a born engineer... cos he would try to dismantle almost everything he can get hold of... hahaha... see the pic below for the mechanical pencil which he had dismantled... all parts that can be removed are here...
