GE2015 Rally

I must say this is not a post about who we are supporting... but just some shots showing the activities for Singaporeans during any GE rallies...

These photos were taken during the
GE2011... on 30 April 2011 at bedok stadium. Yes, the flag we were holding on to were from the Worker's party... ehm.. I can't recall if my hubby bought them or it was given free.. haha.. :p

See how young are my 2 children back then...
Ehm... A much younger us... hahaha...

This Adwin looks like Alvan huh? Haha... mischievous boys I got... *sorry for the blurry photo... all these were taken using my Canon camera back then... *

Another rally outing we went with my in laws family at Yishun Stadium...  looks more like a picnic than going for a rally??? ... oh.. I just realised MOST of us in the photo were wearing BLUE!!!! Oops. ..

I thought the crowd for GE2011 was more than the one we attended at this same place in GE2015....

This is GE 2015 at Yishun stadium with much bigger children... nope, not all are my... hahaha....

Yes, another picnic alike outing for us... hahaha... ya, am hiding behind my youngest son, who was in my tummy back in GE2011!

A Night at the museum

Yearly, our Museums would have about 2-3 weeks of Night Festival for weekends, i.e. starting from Friday night.  We went over on a Saturday last year and was pretty amazed at the turn out and their programs... So this year, when the Night festival is here again, we thought to find a night to bring the kids over for some 'fun'!

This Saturday happened to be the last day for this festival.  As always, to find a car park lot in town for event is super challenging!!  We had a hard time trying to park our car and in the end, settled for a car park lot at Park Mall! Hahahaha....

This is my poor son, who was woken up by me as he did not have a nap in the noon and he was supposed to be in his la-la land at 9pm! :p

This year, they have the performers on wheels!! So there were practically moving around the place singing opera!! Hahaha... Very interesting and at least everyone gets to see them real close! :)

The following program was the reason why I brought my children here... and my Alvan has been looking forward to this whole day long... I think the title is "Angles in garden" Hahaha... can't recall... :P

The performers got to be hang on this huge thing to be moving over to the middle of the open ground with a crane!! Impressive performance!!

Mind you, all these ANGELS had many things in their skirts or bags!! They kept throwing things from the sky!! Hahaha.. Mainly confetti, but of many different shapes, heart, stars, long ones and even those white spray, oh yes, and balloons!!! OMG...

This last segment of the performance was my Alvan's long awaited FIREWORKS!! Hahaha... He was so happy when he saw it!! :)

Another funny act of my girl... the heart shape confetti which were thrown down by the angels earlier on... hahaha...

This lighting effect of 'Eskimos' characters being shown on the walls of the museum was really interesting and fun!! Everyone had a good laugh watching it!!

A family portrait with courtesy of our helper... hahaha...

This was how we ended our night!! Roti prata for everyone before we go back home in bed!! Hahaha... I guess the only one wide awake is ME, or rather the only odd one out!??!!...  :p  Been ages since we had supper and it seems like a first time for our children!!  GOOD NIGHT everyone.. :p

Our SG50 holiday... URA and Cat's cafe

We had a long weekend holiday during our SG50 celebration... Though, there were many places opening for Singaporeans with free entry, but that means, alot of Singaporeans would go due to the free entry!!  SO, we were kind of left with just shopping options, as my dear hubby is not a fan of long queues!! Hahaha...

Another sad thing was, it was raining during the long holiday... AND, we had thought to bring the kids to catch the Black Knights performing at the Marina bay area but there were no car park lots and due to the pouring rain, we can't see a thing in the sky... so, we are left with "WHERE TO GO??"...

And since we are very near the CBD area, and WL activated his voice control again... asking me to goggle if the URA is open during this public holiday... And yes, it's open with SOME activities and here we are!!

First visit for all of us... and it's amazing how Singapore had everything planned... and with all the buildings, parks and many tourists attractions lay out all over Singapore, am really impressed!! We were a small fishing village and now with first world airports sea port and many attractions which helped to develop Singapore into a place where tourists will come and spend their money!! Well done Singapore, am so proud to be called a Singaporean!! :)

A map of Singapore.. show casing the different towns and how each race started building their homes and communities from the early days to our NOW...

Photos showing our transformation from 1940s...

And this is one of the activity which allows visitors to build a 3D shophouse... interesting project but very difficult to build it up! :p  This is destroyed even before we left this place... hahaha...

Planning of the parks in Singapore...

See... even rubbish also needs planning... hahaha...

Section view of a typical shop house in Singapore.... :)

A interactive game for the kids... just like a BIG ipad!! Hahaha...

Recently, this son of my, always insisted taking selfie with just ME... and he would make a big fuss if me and hubby pose for a selfie... should I rejoice and be mad??... :{

Here's another map of Singapore at Level 1, and this is a much impressive layout... Why?  It's really a miniature of the whole island's building!!  We can even find our HDB block here!! Hahaha... Good! :)

After exploring the URA site, we were cracking our head on places to go AGAIN!!  And guess what? Another surprise from my hubby... ehm... he's fond of surprises for ME?!?!  Ya, I though so too... and always places which he wanted me to go, but I had expressively told him I do not like it, he would bring them across as SURPRISE!! :(

Ok, here's how he put this place across...  "It's a place our kids will LOVE and it's a place where you can sit and enjoy coffee and RELAX.." Whoa... sounds interesting to you??? SO, RELUCTANTLY, I lifted my foot and move to the car park and he HAPPILY drove US ALL to the location he wanted to go! :p

Here we are... CATS CAFE!!! ARGH....

My baby enjoying his can drink....

Suddenly, a cat DECIDED to sit next to my baby!!!

Yes, my children LOVES this place... as they are really fond of pets... so they DID enjoy themselves... and I DID enjoy hours of fun playing my candy crush and not moving my butt!!! Hahaha...

But, I really thought this place is overcharging the patrons?  We are supposed to pay for a entrance fee for every one coming into the cafe... and yes, the entrance fee is inclusive of a drink, and if we want to top up for coffee or tea, fine... and we can stay inside for as long as we like... and they do serve cakes and pasta... at a price which I thought is abit too high too... as the serving was just nice for my kids?... Would I go again??? NO... a DEFINITE NO, thanks! :p Ya... I do not like pets!
