WL's Christmas pressie -- him and kids new hobby!

I decided to get WL a small aquarium since the last time he had wanted to rear some fishes but somehow they didn't survive long, could be due to our small tank and frequent change of water as there's no filteration system... So this time round, I got him an all inclusive small aquarium!!!

This is Adwin's fish... Snake fish! And he had bought 2, but after 2 days, left with only one... And this one, looks like its either dying or hibernating!!! Hahahaha...

A full view of the small aquarium with lots of small fishes and 3 water plants inside...

And only yesterday, we found snails inside the tank!! But surprisingly, we saw alot more snails inside!!! And wondering where did it come from... And WL said they're from the water plants... But why didn't we see it back then till now?? Funny....

Another snail spotted on the plant's 'pot'!!

And we've got new addition today!!!! Can you spot it??? It's the mini shrimp!!!! Hahaha.. This is a special one, with white and black stripes!!!

The following 2 photos are taken by Mr Adwin!!! Another shrimp with white and orange stripes!!

And an orange or red shrimp!!!!

Now the kids are always busy asking to feed the fishes and very often, come and check them out!! So at least some relaxing time for them at home... Better than just catching TV show and asking me what craft can they do!!! Lol...

Our Xmas outing to JB

Hahaha... Funny why did we head over to JB on Xmas day??? Well, we had wanted to go over last Saturday, but I was abit lazy, so told WL next time!! And my dear hb offered to go over right after our breakfast at home so we can be there for lunch!!!

And we went to a new place we never been to, Sutera Mall! It's pretty off the beat place, or rather my GPS had led us there with some local roads and I was abit worried actually... But luckily upon arrival, it's a pretty big mall and the car park is brighter and cleaner compared to KSL city!

We went to ElMigos for lunch... Surprisingly, it was still pretty up to standard... They served western food, eg fish and chips, chicken chop etc, spaghetti and pizzas, tortilla and quesadillas!!  I tried their cajun chicken quesadilla and it was surprisingly good!!! Even the kids spaghetti were good too!! Alvan had his favorite, French fries! Hahaha... Their drinks were only so-so... But good lunch we had!!!

And we tried walking all the way to their west entrance, as the multi storey car park entrance is the east entrance.  And at the west entrance, it seems to be some concert locations, with signs indicating Hall 5, 6 & 7! And there's also a big Chinese restaurant there, where wedding lunch and dinner can be held.  And my kids had some wishes made at this koi pond!!! Lol...

And the highlight of this trip was, we saw this famous HK dessert shop here, 许留山!! I was thrilled and we decided to come for their dessert later!!  And at about 3:30, the shop was packed and we had to queue for a seat... Lucky it was still pretty fast for us and I can tell you, all we had ordered was truly fantastic!!!!!

My Ashley's mango dessert with diced mangos, mango juice, mango ice cream and coconut ribbons!!! Supercilious!!!

WL had ordered this mango pudding, with freshly cut mangos, mango ice cream and birds nest!!! Wow wow wow...

WL had ordered this cake for Alvan, but it was not good, as my Alvan rejected it by spitting it out!!  Lol...

Oh yes... WL also ordered a mango drink, with mango jelly at the bottom, mango juice and coconut cream on top!!!! Another yummylicious item!!!

The best of all is my Adwin's order... Coconut with birds nest!!!!  But he was not really fascinated by it... Kids will not understand what is sooo nice about birds nest!! As he thought the coconut would be the one he always enjoyed!!! Lol... So the one to benefit from it is... Me and WL!!!

And here's the bill... Considering the exchange rate, I guess it's a good treat!!!

WL and kids shot before we leave the mall for KSL city... :). For our dinner at 汤师傅!! Another must have whenever we go to Malaysia!!! ;)

Christmas 2013

We decided to pop by orchard road to have a feel of Christmas a week earlier... Hoping to avoid any crowd... But we were wrong, as there were lots of people enjoying and soaking into the festive mood along orchard road... But it was a yearly thing for us, and lucky the weather was still good, no rain!  However, we feel the decors for this year was nothing grand... Almost all malls were giving a big gigantic Christmas tree only, no much effort were put into the decors...

WL parked his car at Orchard Central, as the decors here were better compared to the other malls, so decided to start off and end it here.

A big bell at the side entrance of Orchard Central...

A country style bicycle parked next to the big bell...

Knock-knock... Anybody home????.... Lol...

My Alvan will always point and shout at the Christmas tree whenever he sees one and never hesitate to take a picture with it!! --Centerpoint--

Outside the knight bridge hotel?? Not so sure of the hotel name... :p

The inverted tree outside Tangs!

The forever super tall indoor Christmas tree at Taka!! This year they had used a green theme, which I thought is nice and unique!!!

We spotted this window display outside Taka... Did you see anything funny here??? Lol...
Yes, the lady for a green head!!!! Hahaha...

There were alot of activities outside the Mandarin Gallery... My Adwin spotted our PM Mr Lee there!!! There was always a crowd near him, all wanting a picture of him and his wife!!!

And just before the junction of the Mandarin, there's this color the Christmas story... Ashley had a part in a small area of coloring...

Outside 313 Somerset!! And my dear WL and Ashley had a fall just for this shot!!! Lol...

We are finally back to our destination!!!! Orchard Central!!!

Inside a candy house, I think... Haha... Too crowded to realized what is this!!! Only managed to squeeze in and capture a shot with no other strangers!

At the main entrance of OC!

We actually had an early dinner at the new Astons steak and salad restaurant at the Centerpoint... My Alvan enjoying his pasta with sweet corn!!!

Pardon my chicken steak... Forgot to take a picture of it before I enjoy it!! It was really succulent and juicy!! Very yummy!!!

My 2 kids who went crazy!!! Laughing away like nobody's business!!!

We enjoyed the dinner here, as I thought they do have a variety of hot and cold salads here... And with a main course ordered, the buffet will be included. And the good thing is, their staff doesn't really check or care if you did order the buffet, everyone seems to be heading to the salad bar after ordering... And drinks are free flow for all... With even soft serve ice cream!! Nice!!

We kind of celebrated our Christmas a week earlier... As our Christmas Eve was really peaceful and simple.... Haha... Can you guess what we had for dinner??? :p

Yes... Traditional hong zhao main xIan (红曲面线) !!! Hahaha.. Funny right?? No ham no turkey but traditional Chinese food!!! Hahaha...

Anyway, we thought to have a simple dinner, as we had bought a log cake from Polar cakes a day earlier and had some Tang Yuan (汤圆), as we got no chance to have them on Dong Zhi (冬至)... Lol... A funny family.... Either do things earlier than others or later!!!! Wahahaha...

My Alvan super curious watching how WL light the candles...

And he's the first one to clap his hand for song to be sang!! Sooo cute!!! Hahaha...

All these ends our Christmas celebration for this year 2013!! Hope the new year bring us more joy and happiness and my kids grow up healthy and strong, everyone in the household be safe and healthy!!!! Cheers to 2013!!! :)

My happy Alvan with his new backpack!

We went shopping in JB on Christmas Day this year. And WL happened to see this cute little McQueen bag, which he thought Alvan would like it... And had requested the shop lady to take it down so he can try it on before buying... However, I got a shy boy and he simply refused to put on the bag when all eyes are on him, waiting for him to show his happiness!!! And he did kick up a big fuss there... And WL had actually given up the idea of buying, but I told him, Alvan is too shy knowing everyone is looking at him! So our nice daddy when to buy a blue McQueen bag for him, so he can carry his cars out during our outing!

And finally, daddy managed to put the backpack on to our dear boy's shoulder!!! And when I asked him to pose for me... Here it is... My cheerful boy with his new backpack!!!

Alvan happily carrying his cars and bus in the backpack, following me to work...

Such a joy to see him smiling so happily in the morning... Hoping he can do so when he attends childcare...

Fun afternoon at the Yishun Safra swimming pool

This is WL's impromptu decision to bring us swimming when he saw the sun in the afternoon!! Lol... Funny?? Well, it's been raining cats and dogs these few weeks and hardly a sunny weather in the afternoon... But, by the time we were in the pool, those grey clouds were over our heads!!! Lol...

The 2 kids enjoying the slides there... There's 2 different length slides there, a shorter one, which you see below and a longer one... The good thing I feel is, the guard is really doing his job here, making sure all kids follow their rules... Always only one kid allow on the slide... And so far I see, most kids followed the rule, and my guess is they are regulars, except for my kids!! Lol... Only after several reminders can they abide by this rule!!!

My 3 babies... :) always glad to see them happy and enjoying each others company... Especially Alvan, always waiting and following his older siblings...

Forgot to mention, the one thing I like about the pool here, the showe rooms are big and really clean!! And the best part, all showers come with warm water!!!! I do not need to scream at my kids to stand under the shower to clean themselves before going back!!!!

Our after swim snack!!! Hahaha... No no, we only had a bar of the winter edition of Ritter sport, it was good!!! Only WL say not... Me and the kids wiped out this bar within minutes!!! Sinful...

And they happened to have a Lego charity drive... With every $10 donated, the kids get 10 small bricks to be affixed onto a picture and this will be on display at the Safra at Mount Faber on 4 Jan and all donations are going towards the needy children... And the kids get to play with the Lego bricks here!!!
