Our first Block Party!

Ashley had been pestering us to bring them to the Block Party when she saw the big poster at our lift lobby!! And lucky, the day the party is happening, we are free! So, off we went to get 5 tix for the party @ $2.00/tix, inclusive of Mcdonald's Chicken burger and a small fries and drink! Wow!! They sounds good??!  Anyway, the main motive of Ashley going for the party was for the Art competition and best dress for National day for children competition she saw on the poster.  And there was a Curry cooking competition as well, so my girl, knowing we cook daily at home, asked me to take!! Hahaha... And I thought cooking competition would require on site cooking (as what I saw on TV), but NO, not for this!! We only saw containers of curry brought in by the contestants!!  Ah... So that's how a cooking competition is being conducted here.... Lol...  

Ok, so we went for the party, which was supposed to start at 5pm to 9pm, being late for the party, the kids had limited time to finish their art work for the Art competition.  Anyway, my Adwin did a real quick drawing, quickly color and wanted me to help him to submit, which I rejected!! Left him to WL to settle! Hahaha..



The 2 kids had an awesome time, as they saw some of their playground friends there and were busy running and playing after their burger dinner. My baby was happy with his balloon initially and after some time, his turn to run around the void deck!!
 

 I managed to feed baby the porridge I had brought there, as I know he would be busy trying to get OUR food when it's our turn to eat!!  And, after the River Safari trip, I realised he likes french fries!!  So, when it's our turn to eat, it's his turn to enjoy the fries!! Hahaha... See how much he's enjoying and helping himself to the fries?!






 

And to our surprise, my Adwin got the 3rd prize for the Art competition!! As usual, he asked ME to go on stage to get his trophy, but in the end, I accompanied him up stage to get it!! Just hope he can outgrow this shyness soon!!!  But he's definitely doing a great job!!

Day out with kids to kids amaze @ Toa Payoh Safra

We decided to bring the kids to the playground at Toa Payoh safra, kids amaze, for some fun last Sunday. Me hoping that we can do something less tiring, and just let the kids get tired out!! Haha...

Well, I did had some 'fun' to start off, sitting on a massage chair with my sleeping baby!! Haha.. It's cheap $1 for 15 mins!!! Good and cheap!

I went into after some rest outside. And here's my 2 active kids on the slide... I tried on one of the covered one and, nope this is not for me!! Haha...

Another thing Adwin likes... The swinging balls!! He can get onto one and start swinging but not my Ashley! She had some problem getting up and would need us to carry her up!!

Brought my baby into the ball area after his nap!! But he doesn't seem to be enjoying, in fact he was abit terrified by the balls and the giant slide there!! See below pic?  He looks terrified with the basket of balls!!! Hahaha...

They do have an interesting ball area with something like those water play parks, the big bucket of water on top of the structure and once it's being filled many people would be sitting under it waiting for the water to pour over them! But here, instead of water, it's balls!!  But the tiring part is, the kids will need to load the basket with balls!!! See my Adwin below busy loading balls, which will be sucked up to the basket!!  Guess they had the intention of tiring the kids by doing this!! Hahaha...

Ok, back to this playground, they had kind of separated it into 3 sections... But, I thought it looks one big playground!! Cos the climbing section is connected and seriously, age is catching up for me... it was sooooo tiring for me to climb around with my Adwin!! He was really kind to be guiding me along the way and waiting for me, unlike my Ashley, disappeared after 10mins with me!!

This is the only open slide!! WL brought baby up for a try, as he was really terrified with the huge slides he saw!! Haha...

And they do have come interactive screens around the play area.. BUT not so friendly though... it was not 'smart' enough!! We had many tries trying to move this bicycle parts to fix up the bicycle, but after about 5mins, my kids all ran away!! Why?? It's just not smart enough!! Hahaha.... You should have a try when you are there!! :p

Ok, when we are done here, it was dinner time... Had thought to settle our dinner here, but the varities were not our choice!! So, we left for Sushi Tei @ Thomson Plaza!! Hahaha...

Adwin's last racial harmony celebration at the childcare

This year will be adwin's last racial harmony celebration at the cc. Thanks to his teacher for forwarding this picture to me! Cos he refused to let me take a picture of him before entering the cc!! And can you see that he's in long jeans??  Seriously, I have no idea why he's taking a liking to wear long pants only these days!!! And it's really driving us mad!!!

Baby recovered from viral infection

Recently, baby had 2 days of high fever suddenly! And brought him to see the Doc Ooi and confirmed its just viral infection causing the high fever, lucky nothing else!!! And he did warn about baby getting some measles like spots after the fever... Here they are!! Am just glad he's fine after this!!!! Praying for a healthy baby once again!! :)

See what my naughty and mischief baby is up to now?  This is his latest 'pattern'! Arms on sofa and both legs onto the playyard! And how old is he now? 19-1/2 months only... His terrible 2 is on the way.... Yikes!

River safari

The kids had been asking us to bring them to the Singapore River Safari to see the 2 Pandas!  We did in early May, but the moment we went into the car park, it started to rain, so off we went to the Science Center! As we were not aware that the whole park is sheltered! Haha...

So, we decided to go again on the Youth day holiday!! WL decided to get the annual pass as we most probably would go again once their boat ride is ready by end of the year and since the entrance fee would increase, getting the annual pass would be a better deal! Interestingly, they are giving 50% off if we are getting another park's annual pass within a month! So.... We decided to get the zoo pass before the 1 month's time is up! Haha...

And I do wonder why all these signs here about how rice is being planted!! Isn't this place for us to see what animals can be found at which river??

Here's our main character of river safari... But sadly, we can only catch a glimpse of jia jia, the female panda thru the live camera!!  As she's a super shy pandan? Or can I say she's just anti-social? Haha...

Our lunch at the restaurant just outside the 2 Pandas home!!  And my baby doesn't look quite interested in the bun!? Lol...

Not much pictures taken as there weren't much things to see after the pandas! And my kids had ran away together with their cousin MinFeng and 叔叔!  But there was a huge underwater tank near the exit and it does resembles the SEA aquarium at Sentosa!! Haha... So we can skip the SEA aquarium all together for a year at least!? Haha...

Ok, after the river safari, we went to KFC outside the zoo for food again...  But my kids were happily fixing up the paper figurines given by the guy at the river safari exit! And it's a 3D otter!! Cute!

The Central Library

These photos were forwarded to me from WL, after his visit to the Central library at Bras Basah on a day during the June holidays with Ashley!

All the pictures look really nice!! And hope we can have a chance there again with my 2 boys!! I think they will enjoy themselves there seeing so many cute display, especially baby!! Lol... Anyway, for one thing, Ashley must have enjoyed herself here!!  Mind you, this is the world's first green library for kids!! See the big signage on this first photo!? Haha...
