Ashley in her tutu skirt

Ashley likes this tutu skirt so much that she will wear it once she sees it hanging in the wardrobe! She's been saying she's a ballerina the moment she puts it on! I had also gotten some similar material to make a pink tutu skirt, but still trying to find time to put up the pieces!! Haha...

Oh ya, this picture was taken at a cousin's daughter birthday celebration at Aloha loyang on 14 mar, a day before adwin starts childcare!! Haha...

Adwin is into his 3 weeks into childcare, see the shots I took this morning! He was getting bored while waiting for the treachers to settle down. After he got hold of his water bottle, he started playing with it boringly... Haha...

Kids and their milk

Both kids will always ask for their milk when the other sibling did that. It can be good cos both are picky eaters and I think at least milk will give them the missing nuitrients they had missed when they reject certain food!

Adwin is getting better in the childcare now, at least he's eating and taking his milk feed! But every morning he will try his luck to see if he can escape from cc. I feel his trying to be strong everyday, saying bye bye to me smilingly but when he turn around and walk into his class, his eyes will turn teary... I feel so proud for him, cos all these actions shows that he's growing...

I only realised I had not been updating my blog for a long time... hee hee.... seems like lots of back logs to update... hope I can find some time to post them here... though abit late, but still better than nothing correct?...

Ashley's Term 1 Review @ Tian Sia

Last saturday was Ashley's Term 1 Review @ Tian Sia for 2010. I think she is quite 'seasoned' in performing now... haha... At least she does her singing & moving when she's in front of all the parents present there.... We are proud of her! :D

She did told me about her pretending to be a mummy sometime back, I thought it's just a 1-time thing in one of her Saturday class. But I think she did well here! At least she dare to shake her bum in front of all the adults! hahaa.... But a pity her teacher is leaving after this term, whom she had been with since she joined Tian Siah in end of 2008!

And Adwin always enjoy his jie-jie performing! I hope he can be like Ashley when it's his turn! hahaa...

Sunset Grill

Oh, almost forgot about this entry...

We managed to find our way to Sunset Grill on last friday, had intended to go jogging, but it was raining heavily at that time.  So we have to cancel our jogging session and go for dinner instead.

And, I must say, it's so hard to find the place!!!  The map in our iphones also can't really locate the place, which I do not know why, is it cos the map is not updated OR the place is really out of place on the map! hahaha...  But lucky WL called to ask for their location and after about 30mins of 'trial & error' on the way, we managed to find the place!!

WL likes their buffalo wings, we ordered a level 3, and ask the lady to keep 2 wings from the sauce so the kids can have them... But I find the wings abit pricey... We ordered their Pasta, Fish & chips & a mini burger of 4 (chicken).  The serving is quite big, and we will only order 2 main next time!

Adwin saying bye!

I think Adwin made a big step today, he can walk into the childcare without crying, & still smiling at me waving bye-bye!!  And teacher Jac told me he managed to have a full bowl of macroni last friday.  When I picked him up last Friday, teacher Lu told me he's able to join in the music & movement!!  He's really a brave boy!! :D  Considering him starting to go childcare only on 15 March, but he had stopped crying after the 2nd day of cc!  Now I only hope he can enjoy the food at the childcare, teacher Eliz had been trying to find ways to make him take the cc food.  Cos the first 4 days, he had refused the lunches & milk in cc, and taking only the bread I prepared for him during his tea break!  I can't imagine him able to bear the hunger and say no to food when all the kids in his class are enjoying the food in front of him!

First jogging session

WL had been trying to start my jogging regime again this year... he had told me this would be my 2010 resolution, but I had rejected and said, it's HIS resolution instead! hahaha...

Anyway, we brought the kids to Yishun stadium at around 5pm, hoping it will not rain, as the sky was getting pretty dark.  The kids enjoyed themselves very much, though the they not finish a round of jogging, but they managed to jog half the track, i.e. about 200m for Adwin and Ashley was about 300m!  I think is pretty good for them and WL managed to make them walk a last round before we head for our dinner.

Ashley was asking me this morning if we can go jogging today... I had told her, we will go only on Sunday.. hahaha... Hope this is a new family routine! :D

BUT managed to catch them after the jog in the car! hahaha...

Adwin 2nd day in childcare

Adwin seems to be adapting to the childcare pretty fast, in fact, he managed to stay till 5pm on his first day yesterday!!  He fell asleep immediately after his shower, but he did not have his lunch and milk before napping.  He had napped from around 1230pm till 245pm, I guess he must have been really tired from the crying.  He managed to sit thru the music and movement, but was crying abit in the mist of teachers & kids dancing.  Until the teachers brought out the toys for them to play, he was pretty engrossed with the wooden cars & tracks. About 5pm, Ashley's class were brought over for TV programs and wait for the parents to fetch them back.

There were really delighted to see us at the door @ 510pm, Adwin ran all the way to the door, smiling so happily & screaming mummy!  And he forgot about his bag & shoe!  When I asked if he's enjoyed in the class, guess what he told me??  He said, "Yes, but am very scared!", and "I cried leh"... hahaha... And when we went to my mum's place for dinner, he told everyone he cried in school!  And he also managed to tell us that he played with train & cars after his nap!

This morning, he also happily changed into the uniform, which I thought was a really big improvement for him!  And initially when he got off the car, he was jokingly saying bye bye to me, but the moment the CC door opened and the teacher came & welcome him, he cried & keep shouting, "I want mama!"... Teacher took some time to quiet him down... and we saw that he managed to stop crying and attend all the lessons for the day, but he didn't have lunch & milk again... ehm... I also dunno what to do with him not eating... But today, it took him some time to catch his nap... I also saw him walking over to the tray of wooden cars to grab some cars to play... haha.. I guess he must be missing those cars & tracks since yesterday!  He attempted to play with the cars just before his shower and during his nap till Teacher Alice asked him to keep the toys & go for his nap!  haha...

As compared to Ashley, he's much much better, as he's able to stop crying during lessons on Day 2!  Ashley's first week was a nightmare to me, cos for 5 days, she was only on half day childcare and after the 5th day, I was on the verge of stopping her, cos when she had nightmare, we can't sleep as well.  But for Adwin, he was pretty the same after Day 1 in full day CC and he's able to tell us what he did in CC, crying & playing of toy cars & trains! haha... Now, I only hope he can join in the lunch in CC and have his milk before his nap!

Adwin first day to childcare...

Today's Adwin first day to childcare, we had been telling him days ago to kind of prepare him for childcare, but he keep saying 'No, dun wanna go school'.  And this morning, when we wake him up for to change, the excuse he gave me was, 'I wanna sleep'! Faintz...

And he also refused to change into the CC uniform, even with sweet as reward! Amazing!!

I had to go into the CC with him, cos he just refused to step in!  I sat in the class with him, for the first 20mins I think, before I tell him am going to the toilet, and I leave the CC, as he gaave me his consent! Haha... And after our breakfast back to the CC, he seems to have settled down, able to paint with his teacher Alice and able to join the class with a book in his hand! :p

Back from our trip

We are back from our 10 days trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong since last Friday. But were too busy to update here and now am busy preparing for Adwin's admission to the childcare on 15 Mar!

Abit of mixed feelings for me, one hand I wished to send Adwin to the CC hoping that he can learn new things cos he's trying to do what Ashley is doing now, coloring, writing and storytelling. But on the other hand, I know he will be crying big time if he dun see me! Even now when I mentioned about going to school and saying bye bye to me, he would say NO!! How am I going on leave him there on the 15?

Looking forward to our trip!

We had finally booked our trip 2 weeks back!  We will be flying on 17 Feb and back on 26 Feb! Sounds like we'll be gone for 2 weeks huh? By the time am back to work, it's already 1st March!!

I really hope we can enjoy ourselves this time, been a long time since we go for a long holiday, looks like the last REAL holiday was to Hong Kong with Ashley when she's only 23mths old & Adwin in my tummy! haha...

This time we will be going to Taiwan for 8 days + 2 days free @ Hong Kong.  But we had upgraded the stay in Hong Kong to be @ Disney Hollywood Hotel, as the free hotel given was too out of way for us, @ New Territories!  So we decided to let the kids enjoy themselves @ Disney, don't think they will enjoy Taiwan as much as we would! :p

Oh yes, we had managed to persuade the kids to have their Flu vaccinations before the trip! And it's a good chance for me to weigh my kids again! hahaha...

The kids are addicted to iPhone!

Since we switched both our phones to iPhones, the kids had been playing games on them. And adwin is so smart to be able to navigate it himself. Knowing where to look for photos, which icons for what favorite games they liked! And WL is saying iPhone is so user-friendly that even a 2 year old knows how to operate without us teaching him!

I was really surprised he knows how to unlock the phone! Initially I did not set the password lock for it but since I saw him unlocking my phone, I had no choice but to set a password lock for it!

The kids are so smart as to know which options to select when they are playing the games! I hope our iPhones are sufficient to keep them entertained during our 10 days trip to Taiwan and hong kong!

Planning for a trip

We had been talking about going for a trip before adwin goes to the childcare since last nov, and finally trying to make this come true soon!

We were thinking of going to Taiwan just after our CNY celebration but somehow WL thought the kids will enjoy better if we go for Disneyland in HK! But after comparing the prices and looking around on the available dates for departure we still come back to trip to Taiwan!

Hope we can confirm the trip by this weekend and shall look forward to the departure in mid mar! :)

Better bonding with daddy

Adwin had been taken care of by WL since mid Dec will now. it's pretty obvious that adwin is building a better bonding with his daddy. Previously when I scold him, he would still insist I comfort him and carry him but recently he knows to look for his daddy after my scoldings! Haha... And there were a few occasion where I did not attend to his requests immediately, he would goes "我去找爸爸!" haha...

Auntie's wedding

The kids attended my sis-in-law wedding's the past weekend.  And initially had intended to ask the kids to be her flower girl and page boy, but WL was really afraid they would get frightened by the audience @ the dinner, so decided not to try and spoilt the grand event.

But, my sis-in-law was nice to let them try out @ her ROM reception, just before the dinner @ Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel.

The kids looks so nice right?!.. hahaha...

Ashley bathing herself

Since Ashley started K1, the teachers in the childcare had been training her to bath herself. Only from last Monday she requested to bath herself at home too, of cos being a Kiasu mummy, I actually monitor her in the bathroom making sure she really do a clean job! And suddenly I feel she had really grow up! My little girl no longer needs me to bath her!! A bit sad but I guess that's sign of her growing up!! :)

Our Xmas 2009

We did nothing special this Christmas, considering it's a long weekend for us. As mummy did not have to work on Xmas eve already, only jiejie had Xmas party in childcare in the morning, and she was off from 1pm onwards. So we went to 313 Somerset for some shopping & look around, trying to get some Xmas mood! hehe... And daddy bought the most expensive coffee from the Blue Mountain Cafe... but was very disappointed!! hahaha... And we had fried prawn noodle & the curry scissor rice from the Food Republic food court for dinner... :)

And for Xmas, we went for the movie, Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 @ Kallang Leisure park!! Had japanese food for lunch, and popcorn during the movie... And guess what we had for dinner?? Mummy & daddy went old kallang airport & take away spaghetti & porridge for dinner... No big feast for our Xmas! :( But we had lots of presents!! Hope it's Xmas everyday! haha...

Alvin & the Chipmunks 2

We caught Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 on Christmas day @ Kallang Leisure Park... And now my 2 kids are fans of the Chipmunks!! haha... But I thought this is a good movie... :p

Adwin is 2!!

We celebrated Adwin's 2nd birthday the last Saturday.  Had booked the 3D2N stay @ Costa Sands @ downtown east 3 months back!! Haha... Thought the kids enjoyed themselves very much during Ashley's birthday stay too, so might as well let the kids enjoy!!  And we went Wild Wild Wet for 2 days, Friday & Saturday & you can see how tanned my 2 kids are!!  But they had a super great time there!!

We had place an order from Fruit Paradise, Mango Tart for his birthday, wanting to try something different, but were very disappointed during my collection @ Tampines 1!!  When I passed them my "order form" (which had no numbers on the form, no place of collection indicated, no payment mode written on it!!) the lady say, we do not have this order form with us!! And we have no tart available for us!!  I reached Fruit Paradise @ 610pm, & our dinner reservation was 645pm @ UDMC Long beach!!  OMG... The lady says they will rush out the tart NOW, which took like 20mins, as 2 chefs were working on it.  The tart was still very nice when we had it, but was disappointed with the order.  And, the wordings was also wrong, so took some time to fix it... we had requested "HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY ADWIN" & guess what they put??!! "happy 22ND birthday adwin" OMG... my son suddenly turns 22!!! hahaha...
