I only found out my baby knows how to fake a smile at strangers!! And he is always in this smile whenever he sees a stranger, waiting eagerly for them to look at him!! Haha... Many times, the stranger will find him so funny looking, cos by looking at him, anyone can tell its a fake smile he's giving!!! A cunning baby before he reach 1 year old!!!

Baby attempt to walk
My baby is trying to walk on his own since 11 mths old... The reason why he's abit slow is cos he's tip-toeing most of the time... He can be steady if he's on flat feet!
Tough to catch him in video though.. But this is the best I can get!!

Ashley's tooth
Okay, my Ashley had finally started to drop her teeth this year...
This picture was taken after she dropped her first tooth, 22 May!
This was taken after she dropped her 3rd tooth in my car, 26 Sep, after her I Can Read assessment for going into P1 class!
This one was taken when her 4th (last) tooth in a super shaky state!! And due to this, she was taking 2 hours to finish her fish slice bee hoon!!
Finally it dropped only after 3 days, 16 Oct!!
Andm it's really interesting that an album is created for mummies, like me, to buy and keep their baby tooth!! LOL... During MY times, my mum told me, in order for your new tooth to grow out nice and neat, this is what you do... For tooth from the bottom row, I must throw it up the rooftop and for tooth from the top row, I need to throw it under the bed!! Hahaha... Interesting? And did I do it!? The answer is.... Yes!! And coincidentally, all my teeth are nice and neat!! So, believe it or not, up to you!! Haha...

Menya Musashi 面屋武藏
This is a super overdue post...
WL brought us to this new mall on a Sunday, The Star @ Buona Vista. This should be an Eco mall, as the public areas are without air-conditioning. All shops are fixed with doors so as to keep the air-condition inside.
As its a new mall, so about 70% of the shops are ready for business! As we had a simple lunch, so were pretty hungry and decided to go for early dinner!! And we had seen this restaurant a few times but yet to give it a try. They feature 3 different soup base on their menu, which we thought it should be interesting and we do like ramen!!
Haha... Why in the world would I be taking picture of the left over soup in the bowl and still commenting that the ramen is not nice?? Well, we were too hungry to begin with and I was busy feeding my baby!! Excuse?? No way, you should join me for a meal and see how busy am I with my 2 children, who are always screaming that the service is slow and they are super hungry!! And with my ever active baby, who is always screaming for attention and trying to grab everything he sees and reachable!!
Ok, we ordered all the 3 soup base ramens... To our surprise, all base are actually using the same pork bone base, only difference is what they added to it, eg the garlic base or spicy base and the original! And with our indonesia maid around, we had to order a mini veg don for her and add some fried chicken pieces for her! Seriously, all the 3 soups were super oily and heavy to us... Which makes it not worth queuing for... And they actually has the free top up of ramen option and we had initially thought to order for our 2 hungry children who will only be eating plain noodles, but they insisted a no sharing policy, so we had to just order a bowl of ramen for them to share! Lousy policy!!
Our total bill came up to $66+, which I thought is abit expensive... But as I mentioned before, we shall adopt the "been there done that" mentality... Most probably won't be patronizing this place again... And we were wondering, the long queue outside the restaurant, are they their regulars or first timers like us?

Badminton session requested by Ashley
Ashley had been pestering us to bring her to her Aunty's (姑姑) place for a badminton session. Little does her Aunty knows, Ashley knows nothing about badminton! The only game she's familiar with is table tennis, as its one of her CCA when she enters Pri 1!
But she was picking the game up pretty fast, adwin gave up after a few tries!! Haha... So off he went to the playground, climbing up and down by the slides...
It had been a long time since I had a game of badminton too!! It was quite enjoyable and guess I can start booking for a hall for a game or 2 at nearby CCs!! ;)
What can my bb do when we are busy with our games?? He's busy monkeying!!! Haha... He's was so happy grabbing onto the pull up poles with the help of his daddy!!! Crying and screaming when WL walks away!!
Oh yes, forgot to mention... My bb was sleeping when we reached my sis in law's place, and it so happened that her baby, jia xuan was also napping... And I thought this photo was very cute... LOL...
A lovely picture of jia xuan...
First time Alvan on a swinging chair in the playground... Initially he was having fun trying to shake it, when he starts to move around, I had to carry him away, as he may just slip off the chair... LOL...
And this is my boy and my man trying out the massage stones!! See WL's expression you should have guessed how painful he is... Haha... But my boy was kind of enjoying it....

Blogger
I finally found a blogger app that allows me to post an entry into my blog!! It's been so long since I enjoyed the freedom of posting without using a laptop!! Hope to see more entries from now on... Don't think I can hit the target of > 100 entries in a year.... Boo....
Mini science experience at home...
WL mentioned earlier about getting these thick ice cream sticks for a science experiment, showing how interlocking them in a pattern will enable it to have a 'fire cracker' effect once it's been 'activated'! Haha...
This is really time consuming, I need at least an hour to chain up all 200 sticks and it just 'went off' in about 10 seconds!!! The kids were really thrilled and excited to see the effect of the sticks bursting and flying all over the place!!! And I had been requested to fix this up for 2 nights!!! Hope no more of such fixing tomorrow cos it's a strain to my aging back!!!
Adding a video to show the effect:

Our Staycation @ MBS
Okay, this is our second time going for a Staycation @ MBS... The kids just love to stay in a hotel which gives them 24 hours of air-conditioning!! Haha... And they know that staying in a hotel means holiday for them!! We managed to get 2 nights stay during Ashley's 1 week September school break.
As usual, we can only check in on Sunday after our busy Ashley finished her 2 CCAs!! And since check in time is only possible after 3pm, so it's just a nice timing for us! And we, rather I, decided not to bring our helper along, reason being, no decent bed/mattress for her to sleep in and I really don't want her to feel we bring her along to help out and not giving her a proper place to rest!
For this staycation, we decided to pop by Gardens by the Bay since it's just a stone throw away from MBS...
Under the hot sun, the walk to the 2 domes were killing ME!! And with my Adwin whining how hot and tired he was, makes me hotter!!! And to make things worse, the queue to get the tickets were so long that even after getting them, we may not even make it to finish the 2 domes, not to mention their closing time is at 7pm!
This picture was taken at the link bridge from MBS to the Garden...
Anyway, after we saw the long queue for ticketing, we decided to pop by Bakerzin for dinner!! Haha... And surprisingly their menu is looking better now... At least my kids are enjoying their dinner and we get what we enjoyed too!
After dinner, we stayed to catch the daily light performance... OCBC garden rhapsody @ 7:45pm Something free and relaxing. We had bought some ice creams to try, it's interesting that they had created the ice cream flavours using flowers as they were being sold in the garden, but it's not cheap!
This was the first time we got a room with a bath tub and it's been a long time since the kids had fun in one!! But WL had a tough time trying to shower them in one! LOL...
Its so sweet to see my 3 sweet darlings in the morning in their pyjamas!
We decided to spend our day in the 2 domes on day 2, especially when it's a Monday, it should not be as crowded as a Sunday! Starting off with the Cloud Forest. We spent about 2 hours in the first dome! There were lots of pretty orchids and it's a good place for photographers, as we saw many with their big DSLR cameras, taking close shots of the pretty flowers! And I love the waterfall at the entrance!
The next dome, Flower dome, consists of mainly plants from around the world which we hardly recognize or see! Ehm, as am not a plant lover, this dome was really boring to me.. :p but still, we took at least an hour plus to finish.
We finished our day in the garden going up the OCBC Skywalk after our dinner at the Peach Garden (not impressive with the food... ): ) a very interesting skywalk... Love all the photos taken here!
The kids had been looking forward to their swimming session... But first time having a swim at night! And this is also Alvan's first dip in MBS!!
Am so glad we had this chance to visit the Garden by the bay... It's really amazing how they had built such a nice garden in the island of Singapore!

Alvan's first visit to Singkids @ united square
I had purchased 2 vouchers each for the kids to try out at Singkids playground... And since it's Children's Day (first Friday of October), decided to bring all the kids out for some fun... :p
Ehm, the first trip to Changi Airport T3 outlet, Alvan took less than 5 mins inside, as I was not with him, so the helper did not really let him try much... But even at this outlet, not much thing for him, as I am a clean freak, with so many children playing with all their 'apparatus', and my baby putting his hand into his mouth, the less exposure for him, the less germs will be on him!! :p
I always feel all these indoor playgrounds are more for toddlers or even kids older then 2 years old whereby they are able to run around and try on the games on their own or trying out the slides on their own... for babies? I would rather not...
There happened to have the Lego promotions at the atrium at B1, and I guess they were trying to attract more people to visit the Legoland in JB, Malaysia... Anyway, we would only have time to go in for some fun in the December holidays whereby Ashley and WL are free...

The festive season is here again!!!
As usual, WL will put up the Xmas tree about a month before Xmas!! And our 2 kids had been waiting anxiously for this moment to help out in assembling and decorating it... Especially Ashley, she was really disappointed when daddy had told her that she may be able to do it on Friday night but further delayed to Saturday night and then to Sunday afternoon!!
This year is Alvan's 2nd Xmas but its a better time cos he would be able to appreciate the lightings and music!!! His last Xmas was here when he's only 15 days old!! Haha... Time files...

Is my baby dancing?
Recently, my baby likes to hold onto something and starts moving his bum!! But there's no music at the background, so I really don't know if he knows he's dancing... Haha...
And my baby is good at throwing things out of his playyard! See below pic for proof!! Lol...

Hoshino coffee restaurant @ PS atrium
We decided to pop by the new Plaza Singapura atrium for dinner this Sunday. Seems like there are many restaurants being opened in Singapore... And it's good so we will always have new food to try!! Haha...
Anyway, we decided to give this new place a try, seeing the queue being formed as early as 5+pm!!! And their fake food display at the waiting area is definitely drawing more customers wanting to give it a try!!
As usual, the kids would go for spaghetti if there see it on the menus!! Ehm, their spaghetti are more of the fusion of Japanese and English... We ordered a carbonara for the kids, I had clam chowder as the base and hubby tried the lobster bisque... Nothing fantastic but edible... Haha... I guess no one would go after seeing my above comment!! But seriously, it just normal as the base was not as soupy and thick as I had expected it to be!!
Pricing wise, I would say its of the high end side, dinner for 3 adults and 2 kids comes up to $112, eating only spaghetti, 3 cups of coffee and matcha latte and a dessert is really expensive!!
The only thing, sorry to say this, that was really nice is the matcha latte!! Their so called the Hoshino hand drip coffee was lousy!!! We only get the aroma of the coffee but it lacks body... But my 2 children were happily sipping away the coffee... Lucky thing was they are charging only 50% for a refill but it must be of the same type of coffee ordered!!
We had ordered their recommended vanilla soufflé but something went wrong with the order and we had to cancel it as we are running out of time to wait for it!! The pancake was really disappointing... It taste just like the kids favourite's macdonald's breakfast, hotcakes!!! Only difference it's the thickness of it!! Sad...
Anyway, it's a been there done that mentality!! Don't think we would be back again!! :p

Our 9th ROM anniversary...
This year marks our 9th ROM wedding anniversary! Time really files.... And we are happy to be celebrating with our children, but my baby was sleeping when we took out our cake! Lol... I am surprised that this yam cake from The Icing Room was really nice... Not too sweet or overwhelming with the yam, just a nice combination of yam and sponge cake!
We have definitely come a long way till today, having our 3 lovely kids is an amazing journey... Looking at how much they have grown from a baby till a super active kid now, tons of funny questions asked, bringing them for overseas trips, etc... All these made up wonderful memories for all of us... It's just amazing... I hope we can have more wonderful memories together and see that our children grow up to be wonderful persons!! Thanks hubby WL for all the support, love and care you have showered me and the family with!! Love you!!

Jurong Bird Park
It's been a long time since we last visited the Jurong Bird Park!!! 3 years to be exact!! And, we took this year's Deepavali holiday to visit the Park. And this time round, we had my parent in law along with us!! :)
And, this is also Alvan's first visit to the park!!! We had tried to be there early as its been raining in the afternoon this month and since the shows are available at 10am and 11am respectively, we make sure we leave our house at about 830am! For the first time, WL managed to be a guest volunteer to hold the ring for the "Birds and Buddy" show!! :)
We make sure we pop by all attractions in the park, so that we can skip the park for a few years before we come again!! By the time we are done with all the attractions, took our lunch, its already 4:30pm when we decide to end the trip!! It was definitely a super long and detailed walk for all of us!!!
As for feeding of the Lory, it was pretty disappointing... Maybe too many tourists had fed the Lory before us, none of them were hungry and we were holding onto their 'food' trying to attract them... The kids were pretty sad...
By the way, this time I managed to cook porridge successfully using the thermal cooker!!! Am so happy that baby and Ashley were enjoying the porridge and it does look tasty!! But, must make sure we did boil the porridge about 10-15mins before we pop it into the thermal container!!
Didn't manage to catch a glimpse of the 2 Pandas from China?!?! Here!! We managed to even take a picture with them at the Bird Park!! Amazing huh???.... Haha...
Must really thank my Father-in-law, the kids 爷爷, he had been helping to pull them around in this rented Little Tikes cart!! Lucky for them, and us, else they would be whining about the hot weather & long walk!!
