Christmas is coming... So you will see all the malls trying to attract more shoppers by bringing in some Kids favourite characters... and we know about Parkway bringing in Toy Story as we were there the past 2 weeks and saw lots of Toy Story 3 banners all around the mall... And WL managed to get the date on ST... There is Buzz Lightyear & Woody Meet & Greet coming the last Sunday, 21 Nov... so, I took the challenge to bring my 2 kids there... as WL will be in the tuition center... tough challenge for me!!! haha...
Ok, first, I need to make a purchase of at least $30 so they can have a chance to meet & greet Buzz & Woody, and it starts at 1pm... we reached there around 11:15am and have to settle our lunch and make my purchase before we head to queue for the Meet & Greet ticket which will be distributed 30mins before and it's limited, so will have to make full use of the time....
Here's the ticket for the Meet & Greet...
And here's the much awaited picture...
See how tightly Adwin holds on to me... He almost backed out when we were queueing to get on stage... But when I assured him that I'll be up with him, then he reluctantly say OK, but after the shot, he keep saying he likes Buzz & Woody!! OMG....

Little Greenhouse Graduation Performance 2010
The kids had been practising all the dances in school for about 6 months and had been waiting eagerly for the day to come!! And especially Ashley, she had been asking me when would she be performing for us starting from July, but the dates were not realised till October this year. This is Adwin's first performance, he looks quite good on stage!! Haha... During his practise in school, he was quite reluctant to dance, the Teachers had told me he's quite lazy... haha... and Adwin ever told me, Teacher say must dance, else can't go home!! So, during his full dress rehearsal, he did dance & the Teachers had praised him, he's really happy with the praises!! haha...
There was abit of over run this year, I guess should be due to the number of items and also seems that the Yishun branch had got a bigger group compared to the Marigold one... I can understand how tough it is to lead an ARMY of small children on stage.. I must say, it is really an amazing performance being put up by them!! All the way to go... Little Greenhouse!! :) And 3 cheers for all the Teachers!! Hip Hip Hooray!!!...
Now is the time for... PHOTOS! :)
Sorry for the quality of the photos... as we were seated at the last row in the theatre, and my zooming feature is not as good... :( Shall get a better camera next year!!! Haha... But, we will be seated in the first 2 rows as next year is Ashley's graduating year!!!
Here's the photo of the finale with the song... Rainbow Connection...

Ashley had her ears pierced
Ashley had been asking me to bring her to pierce her ears, so she can wear nice earrings! And I had been telling her that it will be painful but she insists she can bear with it.
And I happened to see the ear piercing ad in a goldsmith shop last evening while getting bread for their breakfast. So it was really a impromptu decision to bring her in to fulfill her wish!
I must say she is really brave, even though I asked her to decide before the ladies prepare the piercing, she was really firm and gave me a clear and loud, yes I want! I remembered during my times, ear piercing was done ear by ear, meaning they would pierce the right then the left, but to my surprise, the ladies had 2 guns and they can pierce both ears together!! Which is good o prevent kids from running away after piercing one side of the ear!! Haha...
Ashley was really happy after the piercing though she sat it's really painful and adwin really had a shock seeing Ashley's ears being pierced!!
Anyway, before she goes to bed, she told mr her ears are not painful anymore!! She even told mr right after piercing, shes going to tell all her friends about it tomorrow in school!!! Haha... That's my girl!!

Performance day
Finally... The day for their performance has come!!! Haha... I had been waiting since adwin joined childcare!! As this is the first time the kids will perform together!! They had to be in school by 7am for make up and be at the auditorium by 930am. This year, the tickets were 100% sold, meaning full house!! Here's a sneak preview of the kids in their first performance outfit w/o make up:
Wondering what Ashley is wearing?? Yes, it's a bathrobe!! As she will be dancing the song 我爱洗澡!! And she told me shes the leader for this song and will be standing in the front center!! Next will be Dancing Queen!!! For adwin, I do not know what's the title of the song he will be performing, they keep telling me it's a hi-5 song, so am clueless!!! But for the Chinese song, it's 踏浪, an old song, anyone hears the song will go... Ah? Which century does this song comes from??!! Haha...

Jogging
This is our first visit to the stadium after our move. The kids had been asking for jogging session for a long time but due to the rainy season we didn't make it!
Ashley really enjoys jogging and she keeps jogging till I ask her to stop! Adwin complain of tummyache after about 100m jog, which I thought should be due to him drinking water after his nap. But he still insist on jogging after that and also ran about 2 rounds!
Here's a far view of Ashley and daddy...

Painting
The kids just love to do painting and I find it's really not cheap to have a session, the picture prices range from $6 to $11 and most of the time their selection is from the highest range!! I had actually bought some suncatcher materials from the States, the difference is that it does not require any oven to bake it dry but I also do not know how long does it take for the suncatcher to dry naturally!! Haha...

My kids went missing
This is the first time my 2 kids went missing together!! Haha... We were at Tampines Ikea for lunch and were doing some shopping before that. After our check out, I headed to the wrapping corner to wrap my breakable things. And I saw the 2 kids playing some games near the wrapping corner. After we are done, we can't find our 2 kids!! And after some looking around, I finally saw my 2 kids being taken away by a Malay lady staff of Ikea. And WL ran forward to claim the 2 kids!! Haha.. He said the 2 were crying terrible while being led away... When I asked ashley if the lady asked for her name she say no, and if the lady asked who they were looking for, she also say no. But she told us, only Adwin cried and say "I want my mummy!" haha... Really funny...

Trying to post 100 postings in my blog this year...
HAHA!!!! Am trying to post more entries in my blogs, hoping to reach 100 entries by end of this year... possible?? haha... I do not know really... :p
Realised I had been blogging for 4 years... and of cos, I had intended to start earlier, especially after Ashley came around and after I started working again since I step into Motherhood... but all had been delayed... Anyhow, I just hope I can continue to update to this blog, especially on the grow and well-being of my 2 children.
When I look at them now, I can really see them grow, of cos physically it's very obvious... as they will run around now, but of cos, at times they will still want to be carry... ehm, I would try to carry them if I can, but most of the time, my arms are really tired and they are heavy too!! Like what my friend told me, to appreciate them NOW that they still want me... haha... I also can imagine, especially when Ashley starts Primary 1 in another years time, I guess she may not want me to be around her too often... :p it does sadden me when I thought of this myself, but I guess kids grow, and I can't possibly tied them to me always, they will have their friends and things they would do without me... Yes, I may be scolding them most of the time now, but deep inside, I also try to control. I do not know if they will continue to be so naughty in another years time, but currently, they already have their own set of thinking and doing things, which I do not understand at times!! And I also try to recall if am like that when I was at their age!! Haha... But really, kids nowadays are so much different from MY times... The most obvious part is in their education, I remember only going to school at the age of 6, and only attending Kindergarten for a year before I proceed to Primary 1, but Ashley & Adwin started going to school at the tender age of 2years & 3months only!! So much difference!! And Ashley started weekly Spelling or Dictation at Kindergarten 1, which is 5 years old!! I guess for me, it was like in Primary school!! And WL was teaching her some simple multiplications last night, I remember my multiplications was only in Primary 3??!!! See the difference??
Anyway, I just hope my kids can grow up happily and healthy (these 2 are the most impt), and of course, to be able to do what they like and have a good education so they do not need to slog when they step into the working world... :)

Henderson Waves...
We finally make our way to Henderson Waves!!! Haha... It's been quite sometime since WL mentioned to FIND this Henderson waves... The last time we went to hunt for this was like 6mths back??!! Anyway, we found our way after downloading the HOW TO GET THERE from the Parks website... :p
Anyway, it's a "Been There Done That" mentality... haha... The kids seems to enjoy the bridge more than us.. cos they were really around and having so much fun with the steps at the sides... After this, we went to Commonwealth for dinner, as WL wanted to try the 'zi char' there, as it was featured in one of the episode in 'Zhu Chao Lai Le' variety show in Ch. 8!! Ehm, must say, the dishes were quite nice and unique, but to queue for more then 30mins may not make it worth while... :p

Chong Pang Community Day
I was not really aware of this Community Day, as we only signed Ashley up for the Drawing competition through the Art class she attended. And really, to sign her up for such competitions were really just for fun, we did not expect her to win, not that Ashley drawings are bad, just that most of her drawings got no theme and we always allow her to go for freestyle drawings, i.e. to draw what she likes and what comes to her mind!! And we were really glad and surprised that she got 1 of the Consolation prizes, it's a $30 NTUC voucher!!
Anyway, the kids enjoyed this Community day, as they get to see and touch their favourite vehicles!! Police car, bike and a van, and (I really do not know what it's call) the Fire Truck??!! :p And they also got the Fireman's hat... which they liked too! And after this, they told me "Mama, today is a happy day!!..." haha... cos whenever they feel happy, they will say that day is a Happy Day!!

Malacca Trip -- National day weekend
Haha... I can't even recall that I have not put this post up!! And this trip was close to 3 months back!! :p
Ehm, let me try to recall as much as possible on what we did there... Ok, WL told the kids we were heading to "Xiao Niang Re"'s home... Cos it's tough for them to understand where is Malacca, geographically and also theoritcally, as they would need to be buckled up in their seats for at least 3 hours in the car!! So to make they feel anticipated towards the trip, WL had to say something they understand!! And I had told them, they need to nap in the car, get up, watch some movies on our portable DVD player before they reach their favourite character's home!! And so they did, they were quite ok through the car ride, took their nap, got up & still buckle in their seats!! Haha... And we only make 1 stop-over for them to stretch their legs, for US to go loo & also got them each a pack of milo.
And, before the trip, I had bought an app on my Iphone, the GPS system Papago with Malaysia map, and it's really good!! Cos it's running on satelite & there's warning of Speed cam along the way, and of cos, the best thing is it does not require any data plan for it to navigate, as I do not want to pay thousands of dollars when I get back home! Ehm, yes, I may be familiar with the road in Malacca (since I was BORN there, but been a long time since I heard back to Malacca to visit relatives!), so I thought it's better to have a MAP on hand since we are really on our own this time!!
Ok, back to the trip, after we checked into the hotel, we went to the famour Jonker Street, hoping to have our dinner & also do some walk around, and lucky for us, Jonker Street is only available on weekends!! So it's our ONLY chance to be able to 'see see look look' for this trip! We bought lots of things to eat along the way, and of cos, lots of drinks also... But none were what I was looking for! Haha... Anyway, the kids seem to be enjoying but it was pretty humid there and super crowded!!
Day 1: 0808, we arrived around 5+pm & only managed to go to the Jonker Street, which is just behind our hotel!!
Day 2: 0908 (Happy National Day! :p) This is my first time stepping into Malacca museums!! Haha.. Though I was born there, but I never attended schools there, we only went back during our school holidays, and during public holidays break!! The kids were really upset over the big ship museum showing some prisoners being locked up in the 'confinement deck'. Especially Adwin, he keep asking to stay there, he felt so upset that the guy can't move anywhere with the heavy ball chained up on his legs and he keep telling us the guy can't go shopping, toilet, etc after we left!! Haha... So WL though to take the picture so he can look at when he 'misses' the poor guy! :p The dinner we had today was BAD... I really never expect this famous Farmosa Chicken Rice ball to be so tasteless... if not for the fact we have nothing better to eat around the hotel!! And forgot to mention, for our breakfast, WL got up early & went to the famous Dim Sum cafe, just behind Jonker Street to get some dim sum & you know what? He said he ordered the famous BIG BAO, but the guy forgot to give him!!! ARGH... I had missed the bao since it's been YEARS since I last tried it!! *sob sob*...
Day 3: 1008, we will be heading back home today!! A really fast short getaway!! We decided to go for the breakfast provided by the hotel, the kids enjoyed it, having their eggs & cornflakes... We decided to go for a last walk around the area before we go back for shower & check out. And we managed to get some really nice chicken rice balls along the way, no time for dine in, so only pack some for later consumption! And while we were walking back, my cousin bumped into us!! haha... really so coincidental, cos he was out to collect his son's full month cakes, & was heading home, but saw WL!! Haha... Anyway, after our check out, we head to the famous Satay Place for satay!!! & my kids really had alot of satay, Adwin being the meat-eater, enjoys most!! Haha... Our last stop before the way home, was a new mall (to me i guess!) but we find the things are quite expensive, so we were really window shopping and only got 2 avacado coffee from J.Co & head back home...
The kids are asking to go Little Nonya's house once awhile now... haha... Hope to find time to go back once again!!

WL Birthday aka Deepavali
Haha... Trying to understand what my title means?? Well... This year, WL's birthday happened to clash with the Deepavali public holiday, so it's a big celebration for him cos all the Indians are celebrating!! haha... :p
Anyway, I really do not know what to plan for his birthday this year, cos we had been to Universal Studios on my birthday (YES, I know, the pictures & posting are not OUT yet, cos WL had removed the pictures from my cam before I had the chance to upload to my laptop! So, give me some time to load the pictures from the home PC to my laptop! :p) and we had thought of going for a short trip like Bintan, but the rates are too high due to the Public holiday in Singapore and also there's a min requirement to stay over for 2 nights and it's not possible for us as Ashley will be having her last lesson at Tian Xia and she'll be having her end of term review, that means its time for performance again! :)
Ok, we started out with a tim sum @ Peach garden, cos it's already 10+am by the time we left our house and we have not taken our breakfast and since WL suggested to go to Sentosa Underwater World, so I thought maybe we may not have time for lunch, so suggested tim sum!! It was nice of cos, given Peach Garden's standard, so all of us have a good time eating. By the time we reached Sentosa it's like 1pm and it took us sometime before we can get into the car park just behind the Underwater World, it's a very small car park and with limited lots!
The Underwater World had changed since we last went... can't recall when, but we guess should be before Adwin came! haha... long time right?? Cos Adwin will be celebrating his 3YO next month!! :p Any they have also moved The Dolphin Lagoon into Underwater World, which I feel is a super good move!! The last time we went, we still need to drive over to the Lagoon just to watch the Dophins!!
The kids had fun at the Touch Pool & the Feeding area, but only WL & Adwin managed to touch the Shark!! NOT ME!! As for the feeding, the kids had a real fun time, but the fish food capsule was really expensive, only 2 chucks & it costed $2!! & I even bought 3 capsules for the kids, cos they fun it so fun that the fishes all try to grab a bite from their hands!! Haha...
Sad to say, they only managed to catch the Seals in action and not much of the Dolphins, cos it's outdoor and the kids are really cranky as it's also their nap time... Anyway, we went 2 rounds on the tunnel, cos the kids find it fun on the moving platform seeing all the fishes swimming around us...
A worthwhile trip, and Underwater World is worth visiting... :) I had intended to go ION for dinner, but the kids were too tired and we were too full to proceed to dinner, so we only packed 2 boxes of the white beehoon back for dinner + the Mango cheesecake from Shangri-La hotel... :p
