Ashley's 8th birthday party

Ashley had been asking for a party like adwin's right after the 2 boys party last dec at YCK grassroots club.  A party with a indoor playground!!! So... Her wish came true (incl my!)!!! Haha....

I always love hosting party, but the cost can be pretty costly if we were to hold it outside, but it does save me lots of trouble preparing for food... But, the main thing for a party is food!! So, whether the party is held at a location or at home, am still a busy bee!!! Haha...

All right, I intend to set up a candy buffet for the upcoming party! Especially after seeing my niece, Dora's full month, my sis's friend had set one up for her, and am impressed with this new idea and concept of allowing the young guests to take and eat what they like in any amount they wished!! Haha...

So, here's my candy buffet for my first new born's 8th birthday party...

Are you impressed?? Haha... Well, I definitely am!!  I can only visualized everything in my head before th real thing!! And buying of everything is "just grab and see if I can use it" mentality! Lol... Sounds terrible I think! But lucky everything was what I had wished for!!  Even the push up cakes, am pretty happy with the outcome too!!  Maybe the only thing here is, if those containers used were those glasswares, I think the outcome would be much more impressive!  That will be my next "to-do" plan IF I get another party!! Haha...

I have to say these, all photos shown here were taken by Ashley's childcare friends's mummies!! And am really glad to have know them since then! They are 2 really wonderful families with wonderful and beautiful children!!!

Ok, this baby food corner came up last minute when I was shopping at the supermarket on the day, but am really happy with it...

Oh yes, this shot was taken when I went back to make payment!! Totally forgot that I still need to settle some balance before leaving the place! Haha...

And these shots were taken when I was busy baking the cakes for the push up cakes!! My baby was so tham jiak that he helped himself with some 'leftovers' cake!! Lol...

 

And the main important thing here is, everyone enjoyed the party!!  Though there were some hiccups throughout the party.... Hahaha.... Our family shot for the night:

Just thought I should pen down the hiccups here and get a good laugh years later...

1. We went into the wrong party room, as it was empty and we thought its ours since the other room was still being occupied! And I was happily setting up my candy buffet table till they came in and told us about it! Duh...

2. My birthday girl invited a friend, whom she had totally forgotten about her and told us she did not know her!! But in the end, recalled saying she's from her Chinese class!! What a blur girl I got!!

3. A few of her classmates came without informing me, and thus I did not prepare their goodie bag! And I was even shock when some classmates brought along their siblings, and their parents happily left them there without informing us!

4. My Adwin had a fall in the playground and had some bleeding to his right nostril... Lucky was not very serious, he went back to his usual self after about 30 mins!! 

The 2 wonderful girl friends since Ashley went into the childcare since she was 2years and 3months old.... Amber and Keelia! Hope they remain BFFs forever!

Not forgetting my 2 batmans of the night!!  Btw, I saw many boys in batmans, but only our 2 boys here look 'real' with the masks!! Lol...

And of course, the happiest person is none other then the birthday girl, with lots of presents!!

My baby is 18 months old!!

Another baby sitting assignment for me!

Haha... This had been a baby sitting week for me!! Not only am I looking after my nephew, now am honored to be tasked to help to take care of my niece (my sis-in-law's daughter)!! As my parents-in-law were invited to catch a live show in support of their friend's singing competition, my SIL had asked for my help for half a day of baby sitting, which I gladly accepted! Haha...

She had happily boarded my car, to be carried by my helper and heading back home with us!!  Being happily entertained by my Ashley along the way!

I survived the day with 2 babies and a toddler at home!! Of cos, with the help of my hubby!! Haha.... Ehm, maybe I should consider being a baby sitter when am out of job?? Lol...

Seriously, I do not understand why my kids love going to my office! They can't play with toys there, only to do some cutting, sticking, drawing, coloring and printing of things from the Disney junior website! And, my nephew, Caden now got hooked too! I was honored to be his 'baby-sitter' when his childcare got a few cases of HFMD and my sis decided to keep him home before our Aussie trip! So, to lessen my mum's load of having to look after 2 babies and a toddler, I decided to bring him along to work with my Ashley!

And, Caden for hooked to going to work with me, that he got up early, changed and carried his bag waiting for me the next day to follow me to work!! Hahaha... And here's a picture of the 2 kids happily having their lunch with their favorite person, their granddad!!

I love seeing my 3 kids together... They are such a joy in our family and seeing them grow up together is the best moment of my life! Especially now, baby is enjoying the company of his jiejie and korkor and he's always looking forward to play with them!!  He would laugh with just a glance from his korkor or just a smile from his jiejie... Baby is just so simple and sweet!!

Our 2nd day stay at the Club room

My baby had the habit of waking up early and even when we were on holiday, he would be just like an alarm clock, waking up at 6-6:30am!!  But his 2 jiejie and korkor, would continue to sleep till about 8am before they wake up!  And for the first time, we were able to take our breakfast in the hotel! Haha... The spread was wonderful and I must say, to pay for Ashley's share, was really worth it, $22++!!!  Cos there's really food that the kids loved!! Cereals and milk, yogurt, some buns and noodles and porridge!!

After our heavy breakfast, it's time for baby to take his morning nap!! And WL and the 2 kids went to level 57 sky park for a dip in the pool!  Afterwhich, we went to Raffles Shopping Center for our lunch and some shopping and head back to MBS for the cocktail around 6pm!

The kids had been grumbling for some time for them to scoot is we missed the outing to the botanic gardens yesterday.  So, WL decided to pop by the waterfront at marina bay before heading back to MBS.  The kids had an awesome time there as it was pretty big and not much crowd on a Sunday late afternoon...

While we were enjoying our cocktail, it's time to enjoy the nice scenery of the beautiful sun set!!

The kids realized that the club do have kids coloring kits and had been asking us to help them get some for their enjoyment! And here they are, busy coloring... And my baby busy playing with the crayons!

Our June holiday is officially started!!

Oh my.... Can't imagine I lost my draft of this post after I left to check out my photos!! Argh.... I can't remember what I had written! Argh... Doesn't blogger save all postings in draft before we publish it? Ah!???...

Our June holiday officially started on 1st June 10am!!  We are now, staying at the kids favorite, MBS for 3D2N in our first try of the Club room!!  The difference between a club room and a normal premier room is that the prior one is inclusive of 3 meals, breakfast, high tea and a cocktail!  We were given this option due to many reasons:

1. my dad's earn and stay rewards of $500 is expiring in June and;

2. we will be super busy for the whole month, except for this weekend and;

3. the rate of the club room before the peak peak June starts allows us to claim for 2N stay instead of 1N!

Ok, done with why we will be enjoying much more for our stay cation, now comes to why our holiday starts at 10am!  For the first time, Hi-5 is having a gala premier for their so call movie at Vivo GV at 11am! And goodie bag collection starts at 10am, follow by the movie at 11am and a meet and greet session at 12pm! All packed!! The kids did have an awesome time singing and dancing to some of Hi-5 popular songs. They are really full of energy!! My baby gave me an amazing look as to why the Hi-5 team are appearing in person in front of him!! Haha...

Oops, forgot to mention that we went into the timezone for some fun before heading to MBS... And am very sure the kids had a great time there!! And I need to say this, I always topped up my card when they had the promotion of $1 for $1 top up! I always topped up with $50 so I can get another $50, which I thought is soooo worth it for kids to have so much of fun!!

And, just outside GV, action city was having a Pre-order of iron man figurines and my kids (incl WL) had an awesome time taking pictures with all the figurines they loved here!

We packed along our luggage knowing that it would be time for check in after the session? And by 2:30pm, we are queuing for the check in to our room!! Haha... Another reason for the early check in is due to the high tea, starting from 2pm to 4:30pm!  But we were really disappointed with their spread... :( or maybe we were too hungry??...ok, to begin with, all our meals will be on the 57th floor, The Club lounge, in front of the pool, which was exclusive for guests staying in their club and suites! Privileged huh?? Haha...  Ok, our meals are for 2 adults and kids below 6 years old, meaning we will need to pay for Ashley's share! High tea costs $18++ of her...

And it was the next day that we realized that they had forgotten to charge us for Ashley's high tea! Haha...

Anyway, by the time we are done with our high tea, it was closed to 4:30pm! So off we went back to our room for some rest and prepared to leave for the botanic gardens, for their biweekly free performance at the symphony garden!!  However, our plan was disrupted when we saw bolts of lighting at about 5pm!! As we will be in the open at the gardens to enjoy the performance, so weather plays an important part!! I was pretty scared by the lighting, and decided to cancel the trip!! And, since baby had just slept, and my Adwin was saying he's hungry, I told WL that I would bring my 2 kids up to the club for a try if the cocktail!! Haha....didn't we just ate?? Yes, we did, but since the room is inclusive of the 3 meals... So why let it go to waste right? :p. so, at 5:30pm, off we went to level 57 again!! Lol...

The manager was nice to be bringing out some finger foods and even champagne for the guests in queue. Ashley was busy eating and kept eating whenever they came around offering!

My Adwin only enjoyed the chips!!  Ashley told me, they were shocked when the waiter left this plate of chips and nuts on the table, she was wondering if I would allow it if am around! Haha...

The spread for the cocktail.... I would say its much more worth it than the high tea... And Ashley would need to pay $22++ for her share.... But since for this first cocktail WL was not around, so it's not chargeable!

And when we were done for our cocktail, we still need to settle the dinner of my man and my baby! So, we went for a walk to the shoppes at marina bay for Ding Tai Feng.... And needless to say, I was super duper full for the day! :p
