Minions mooncakes!

Mooncakes are getting fancier these few years, with many many different favors as compared to 20-30 years ago!!! And see, we managed to get some minions one this year!!! And the favors are very interesting too!!! But I can't recall what were they!!! Lol.. Just remembered that its really tasty and the kids enjoyed them!!!

And tomorrow is the mid autumn festival,  but WL is busy with tuition so am left with my 3 kids again... Had thought to have a scrumptious satay celup steamboat but changed it to a simple laksa dinner for me and the kids... Hope I can manage to bring them down to enjoy some lantern walk around after dinner!! Happy mid autumn festival!!! :)

Ashley in after school program...

We finally signed Ashley up for the after school care program by AceGuru. Reason being her SA2 exams are coming in a month's time and its been a chore getting her to sit down and do her assessment books and practices. As she's been having tuition at the centre since June till now, and it's a new program being set up here, we thought to let her try it out. She had been asking to go for such program since she knew her friend, Keelia, was in one since she started P1, as her parents are both working adults, so had no other choice.

Well, it's been a mix feeling for myself, as I had been faithfully knocking off early to pick her from school, taking lunch together and screaming on top of my voice to get to take her shower, do her homework and prepare for her spelling!! But now, since she's being taken care of by the centre, I can get off later from work and no need to rush to pick her.  Ashley had been a very independent girl since she attended childcare, maybe that's why she's been eagerly waiting to start off the after school program. 

In fact, I was pretty worry if she would get picked up by the correct person after school especially when the lady is arranged to pick her from gate 2 rather then going into the school. Nevertheless, I made the trip to reach the gate earlier hoping to take some pics of her waiting and being picked up, but mission failed! Hahaha... My super alert girl spotted me and came over saying, mummy, why are you here to pick me and not AceGuru?? She was really angry!!! Hahaha.. I went on and tell her to get back to the gate and wait for the lady, am here just to make sure you are being picked up!!! Hahaha... And off she went and got picked up by Ms Yick! I didn't managed to follow them back to the center... As the person in charge, Ms Huang sent me an SMS saying she had picked her up!

After signing Ashley here, it somehow sets me thinking if I am an incompetent mum who needs to send my girl to such a care center especially when I can bring her home after school. Let her rest and do her homework comfortable at the comfort of her own home and room. Anyway, I definitely hope to see some improvement in her work and hope she can really enjoy the company of the teachers and other friends there!

My Adwin is graduating!!!

It's time for my first son, Adwin to graduate from his childcare!!!  So fast, he will be going to the same primary school as his jiejie next year!! And I find, I'll worry if he can handle primary school life like Ashley.... As he's a very quiet boy, who can't buy anything for himself now, let alone to buy food next year on his own!!! Worry worry... Just hope he can outgrow his shyness soon!!

My naughty baby...

My baby is getting naughtier day by day... He had always not like any rocking or swinging play thing... But after I rented the rocking horse for Adwin, he had the chance to try it out!!

And he's soooo comfortable with the rocking horse that he dared to stand on it and step over!! See him in action here!!

It's been quite a long time since Alvan went into a pool... And this time he's super enjoying it!!  And for the first time WL taught him to kick in the water, he picked it up really quickly and able to do it when we asked him to the next time!!

We will be in the pool every Saturday since the 2 kids are having their lesson!

Teachers day 2013

This is my first time baking for the kid's teachers.  Really a last minute decision to do this, as I had run out of gifts to get for the teachers and Ashley's sch had sent an email saying the kids can't buy present for teachers, except for handmade items!! And we had no time to bake on wed, as Ashley's sch celebration was on Thurs! As for Adwin, I only saw that they are having a party on Fri and kids can bring food along, that's why the making of these heartshape with jelly and cheesecake!

Our staycation at Fairmont

This was our first time going on a 2D1N staycation at Fairmont hotel! They were really nice to have given us a really high floor room, considering this is a 'not so tall' hotel! Hahaha... So (if I remembered it correctly!!) having a 17th floor room is consider very good! Hahaha...

While we were waiting for WL to settle the checking in procedure, their front desk lady was really nice to have given the kids something to get occupied with!! Baby got a balloon and the 2 kids each got a piece of chocolate from the same box of Choco!  And they did enjoyed their welcome gift!!

Their room was really super cold!!! We had to off their air con to feel better!! Hahaha... First time for us!! So far, I only remembered MBS rooms were warmer and I had to always adjust to really low temperature to feel good...

With the opened balcony, we had a really good view of the marina area and shenton way area, with nothing blocking us!! We would have a good view of the NDP preview tonight!! Anyway, that was the purpose WL had booked on this weekend, to catch the fireworks!!!

Here comes the fighter jet!!!! Magnificent view, not forgetting the thunderous sound!!! Hahaha... Lucky my sleeping baby didn't find it annoying!!! Lol... 

And the moment we had been waiting for!!! Fireworks!!!!

WL had initially made a reservation at Prego thinking the fireworks would end by 8pm but it was a bit delayed and we only went down at about 8:20, however, as I was closing the door, I saw there's still fireworks going on! But we were late, so, off we left for our late dinner!!

And we ordered a very different pizza... Hahaha... Not one with tomato sauce, so we can't expect it tasting like our normal pizza... Nice? Ehm, not really... Lol..

And we got a really nice complimentary cake which was very tasty!!

My birthday, 2013!

It's my birthday again!! Seriously, one year passes really fast! I guess with us getting on soooo busy daily, we can only get our routine things done on time, not realizing the time passes by so much faster. And for celebration? Well, since its a weekday, I was not bothered celebration it actually, just a dinner outside so my kids can enjoy dining out. And as one gets older, I just wished for a simple dinner with my loved ones, peacefully!! Haha... With my 3 kids around, hardly a peaceful meal!!  But I guess I need to learn to look things at a different angle and try to appreciate their jokes, small talks and even those naughty and mischievous moments!! Once they are older, they may not even be bothered with my birthday??!

We decided to go to Watami for dinner, and I must say, their menu is looking better now, was pretty good to start with, but now more options and the serving is always big!! Good for sharing!! Better when my kids are able to enjoy it!!
