My homemade pork floss

I had been pretty adventurous recently and decided to make many new dishes or snacks which I can now google on...

First, I had tried making bak kwa, and the result was... ehm, still room for improvement a and guess this would not be an item I would make or baked during CNY to give to my parents or parents in law for... as the taste is far from the commercial seller, which left me puzzled when I recipe I had Google for say it's close to the popular ones in Singapore...  so, I shall stop at my experimental stage for now and bbq it just for the fun of it!!

Second, I tried on this homemade pork floss I had google and goodness, the smell and taste is good!!! My kids were busy asking to try teaspoon after teaspoon!!!  And ask sure I would make it again if they ask for it next time!!!

Christmas show at Changi airport 2014

Last Christmas  (2014) , we didn't really go for any Christmas show at any malls, guess we were really busy travelling during Dec!!! Lol..

And I think this is the only Christmas show we went for, I think I had not posted about the week WL went to Vietnam with his students during end of Nov, thus I brought the kids to pick daddy fr the airport but we were late! Haha... horrible aunty here!!! And we were kind of rushing around that evening and the kids didn't manage to get the goodies given our during the shoe so they were really disappointed and decides to pop by again.

And here we are at the airport again,  but this time was a dinner there to send one of WL's colleague off and again, we missed the giving out of the goodie bag collection tickets only managed to catch the snowing time...

I guess a short play with the foamy snow is fun and keep the messiness aside.. haha.. I remembered 2 years back, we brought the kids to the Tanglin Mall snow show and god, it was such a mess!!!! They had created roo much foam that the kids really need to be under a running tap to clear it off and many 'regulars' had even brought along raincoats and umbrellas to prevent getting soaked in foams... lol...

Ok, this pretty much sums up our 2014 Christmas!!! Hahaha... boring... :/

Alvan's first birthday celebration in his childcare

This is Alvan's first birthday celebration in his childcare!!!  And we had celebrate earlier as WL had planned to bring the kids over to Legoland Resort for staycation and fun during the 2 boys birthday!!!

So here's my birthday boy, 3 years old celebration!!! And he gladly change into this tshirt worn by his korkor before, with his laoshi's help!

I had asked if he wants to celebrate his birthday in school, his reply was a quick n firm YES and when I asked what design cake did he want, another quick and firm and answer of CAR CAR! Haha... so here's his wish granted!!!

My new year 2015...

A new year has begin and here I am trying to catch up my posts again... hahaha...

My or our 2014 year had been a busy and fulfilling one... looking back into 2014 and trying to figure out what we did... ehm... Somehow I thought we had quite been travelling quite abit compared to past years.... seems like we would be travelling during all school breaks... let me try to recall...
Mar break: we went to Bintan!!! A nice and cosy resort with an expensive price tag... hahaha..  though this is a indonesia island, but the currency being used here is USD!

June break: we went for a weeks break to Malacca, eat eat shop shop to our hearts content! Hahaha... this is a trip I had been looking forward to almost yearly... as this is my home town, where I was born and many childhood memories can be found here... as I age the more I misses my good old childhood memories... :(

Sept break: we explored another indonesia island,  this time is Batam!!! And this is a much enjoyable one!! Things and food are cheap here and it was really fun buying things especially with their discounted items!!! And most importantly, a trip with my extended family!!!! Our kids had tons of fun having the company of their cousins!!! Kids... :)

Dec 2014: this Dec was a really busy month as we had 2 destinations in a month!!! To celebrate my 2 boys birthday, WL decided to bring them for a staycation at the Legoland Resort in JB!  And of cos,  we took the opportunity to explore their wetland and the theme park since Alvan  is much bigger to better enjoy the rides since its his last year of free entry!!! Hahaha... yes, kids will have to pay once they are 3 years and above!!! And we were all burnt from the hot scorching sun during our 3 days stay there....  And we also went for a Carribean cruise this time, on board the Marinar of the Seas with my in - laws!!!  A trip I look forward to after Alvan is born and we had been delaying it since we can't stay in a cabin with a family of 5!!! So good and lucky we got my in-law with us so all of us can enjoy the service and fun on board this largest cruise in Asia this time!!!  And the 2 ports of call were KL (Port Klang) and Langkawi island (which me and WL had visited since our wedding in 2004!!  A good 10 years ago visit... haha...)!  And this time the shore excursions were pretty well selected and all of us had a good time moving around the 2 cities!

Ok, guess I still need to put down my 2015 resolutions!!!! Eh...
1. I really hope to have more time to pen my blog!!!  This seems like a yearly resolution for me but hardly fulfilled for the past few years... haha.. I need to try harder...
2. I hope to be able to read and improve myself in terms of helping out my 2 primary going kids with their school work!!  And especially so when I had lost touched with academic stuff for sooo many years... hahaha... so u guess how old am I??!?
3. Better improve my cooking and baking skills!!! And hope to be able to come up with new recipes or new food so all of us can enjoy our dinner daily at home!!!
4. A very important resolution for all of us to stay healthy always!!!!

Trying to set some easy to meet resolutions for 2015 so I can feel better at year end!!! Hahaha...  my resolutions have  been almost the same yearly since I became a mum... boring.... hahaha...

Anyway, here's wishing all a happy happy and healthy 2015!!!!  Cheers....
