As the dumpling festival is just around the corner and in conjunction with the Singapore Museum Children's festival, Wan Qing Yuan had organised a dumpling festival for all to appreciate and understand why we are eating dumplings for this festival. And a good chance for all to visit this hall since WL had been wanting to come here since its opening about a year back.
A few game stalls were set up for kids to have fun with and chops to collect to exchange for a goody gift. The interesting part was all game stalls were set up by volunteers from ITE college and all were hand made!!! And they try to make a link back to the dumpling festival for the kids to enjoy and understand how the festival came about.
This stall was showing the kids what ingredients went into the making of a dumpling.
They even had an event for kids to learn how to make a dumpling bag, in the shape of a dumpling and all proceeds collected from the sales of the raw materials would go to a charity organisation.
This is Mr. Sun Yat Sen statue with some writings on what he had done in Singapore.
My happy Alvan taking out and putting on his shoes on this green green pasture!!
They had a treasure hunt game for the kids and their tasks were to go around the museum looking for clues and filling it up and receive a a small notebook and and pen. They were and so very thoughtful to have set up some craft sessions at the balcony of the 2nd level. But we were actually arrived very late on that day and the place were ready to be closed by the time the kids collected their notebook and pen.
It was starting to drizzle when we were about to leave the place... The small Blue notebooks in my Ashley's and adwin's hand were the goody!
While keying this post, I was trying hard to recall what this game my Ashley and Adwin had tried on was known as. So I went thru my search on my FB trying to locate the poster I saw for this event and finally found it and went thru my video just to capture some pictures out so I can put in my blog! Hahaha..
This is known as the bungee run!!! First time trying out for my 2 kids and they had an awesome time!!!
This was added much later.. as I forgot about taking photos on our diner! Lol..
We were not very hungry so decided to settle our dinner at this small mall opposite the museum. Pizza and pasta!! The food was not fantastic, price also not super cheap, but a quick dinner.
Our exaggerated daddy with the super thin and small pizza!
And my Alvan here, holding up his plate of fries so we can take a pic of him!!! So cute and smart of him! Lol...
