Our evening outing to Robertson Quay

This is a place we hardly visit.... And why we are here this evening is due to the groupon voucher WL got for our dinner... Shabu Shabu!! First time for all of us!! We hardly had steamboat on our own, as it's tough cooking and eating at the same time with so many kids in tow and especially difficult to cook and feed them at the same time as they do not have the patience to wait for their food to be serve and in super hot state!

But before our dinner, WL decided to let the kids enjoy the water taxi, which costs $3/pax, including babies!! So he paid a total of $15 for us to get onto the water taxi... We boarded from Robertson Quay all the way to the end of the ride, Promenade ie the Singapore Flyer!

Selfie of me n hb!!

Us with the Alkaff Bridge as background!! Haha...

Strolling along the Singapore River before our water taxi arrives...

*think am sleeping in this shot* lol...

Our water taxi is here!!

Boarding...

Sights along the way... All were taken by Adwin!!

The Merlion...

MBS (Marina Bay Sands)...

The Singapore Flyer...

Working in progress River Ang Bao 2014... God of fortune is here!! Lol...

Little pony at the Singapore Flyer...

Us on the taxi back to the Robertson Quay... It's cheaper to ride in a taxi compared to the water river! Kids do enjoy riding on a taxi, as they had been very fortunate to ferry in daddy's private car since birth till now... So once awhile public transport day is a highlight to them!!

Anyway, WL is good to have prepared the kids of what to expect for dinner and they know that the meat need to be 'swipe' in hot soup before they can eat!!

The spread is for 4 adults and we were really lucky to be able to finish all of them with 2 adults and 3 kids!! Lol... The udon were snatched by the kids, lucky thing is, they are noodles lover, so long it's not rice, they are ok!! Lol...

There's actually 2 trays of Pork here, a big plate of veg and a heapful plate of udon!!  Their sauces were yummy, especially the sesame dipping sauce, as for the soy sauce alike dipping sauce, it's nice with the spicy oil added!!

The kids enjoy cooking the pork... And now am thinking to reinvent this at home... Lol... :p
