WL decided to bring us to the Bishan park after he brought his students there for some assignments last Friday.... But we can only go after my dear Ashley finished her homework!! So by the time we left the house, it's already 4pm!! Actually it was abit delayed due to me frying the CNY goodies - fried arrowroots!! Lol...
This park is big!! And the moment we walked in, you can see a space for skaters to learn skating by some school *sorry I can't recall the name! Hahaha... It's really fun to see many learning to skate here and I saw a family of 6 learning to skate!!! Cool...
WL and the 2 As trying on the foot reflexology stones!!! Only WL managed to walk on the super painful path...
See the kids running away after about 5 steps!!! But I ran away after 2 steps only!!! It was seriously damn painful!!!
There's a playground around, but only 1 swing available, no slides or see saw... A pretty advanced playground, with many of such humps around, this is equipped with a long black sturdy rope, meant for kids to learn climbing? Lol... My 3 conquered this mini hump!! Lol...
A rotating stand... Boring...:(
On our way to the other part of the park!
It's a pretty relaxing and serene side of Bishan, I guess those residents staying here must have enjoyed the view of the park here... A small stream separating the flats and the park, a really nice place to stay in...
Spotted a small white crane along the steam... Nice!
Our dear Mr Phang conducting a mini eco lesson with the 2 As... Actually he was trying to show them the eggs of some snails ahead... I did not take a pic of it as I had seen many many snail eggs during my childhood as the mini aqaurium that my dad kept had snails, so nothing new for me... :p
Kids being introduced to Mimosa!!!!
My Adwin just find it sooo interesting that the Mimosa closes upon his light touches!! And he was so naive to have pluck one away, thinking he can still touches it to close and wait for it to open at home!! Hahaha... Kids...
My just awaken Alvan was not interested in them and he was pretty annoyed when Ashley tried to show him using his own foot to close the Mimosa!!!
A reluctant to leave boy... Still having fun with the Mimosa!!! I told WL we should plant some at home for the kids to enjoy!! Hahaha... Wondering if I can still get such grass at those nursery!!
Right in front of us was a shelter place, and coincidentally, there's the Community music time @ Teck Ghee, seems like this will only be around on every last Sunday of the month... How lucky are we!!! But we didn't understand a single word this ah-ma is singing about... It's chinese opera!! :(
A nice bridge to cross over from the park to the estate at the back with the McDonald's for the park goers to take a rest, enjoy the scenery and have a cup of coffee!! But we had our dinner here, as requested by the kids...
Saw some family trying to fish under the bridge... guess my kids would wanna try to fish some 'long kang fishing' the next time we mention Bishan Park to them!!! :p
And even Parks had gone online!!! Hahaha... there's an app known as "Sparks" for us to download onto our iphone or Andriod and check out any interesting events, interest groups or locations of the Singapore Parks!!
Here we are... all ready to eat!!! :p
Kids had their McNuggets with milo and fries!!
My Alvan had his fries meal!! WL was holding on to the curly fries, which I find is really nice! :p Opps, realised I forgot to take pic of my food!! As it's the CNY season, Mac had came up with the Prosperity meal again... yes, its the burger with the black pepper sauce!! We had one last year, and thought the staff may had dipped too much black pepper sauce, making the burger super spicy and yucky... So I thought to try it again this year... ehm, still as spicy... but not too yucky with tons of the black pepper sauce... anyway, we had chicken prosperity burger and am wondering would the beef one be better?? But I like the fizzy drink that came together as a set... nice!! :p
And this is my dear's set... oops... let me try to recall what is the called... I THINK it's the Pesto chicken sandwich, actually the set came with a Cappuccino, but I was kpo to have changed it to his favorite, Himalayan Tea Latte!! :p
A panorama shot I had taken of the scene we were facing.... nice!! :p
We walked to the other side of the park after our dinner... and there's a big park here for many to have some ball games... or just sit and relax...
And another surprise findings of the park!! There's a dog park!! For dog-lovers to bring their dogs over for some running and breather...
