My growing kids.. 2025

Been donkey years since I last post an update in my blog... wait... so I still remember I had a blog! Hahaha..

Now I have a problem... I can't find the button for me to update photos... holy... I may need some time to successfully create my first post in 2025 with photos....

Let me say what I wanna say first and give myself sometime to post the photos when I find the attached photos button...

May 2025:

We celebrated Mother's day over the weekend and the following Monday was a vesak day holiday... so we had enough of food outside and photos with my 3 kids who are all taller then me now! Amazing... being a mum for 20 years.. wow.. that definitely makes me sound OLD! Oh.. wth... they are growing and am aging... where has all the time goes?? I really have not idea how I managed my kids over the 2 decades and how they have grown now...

Comes next year, my eldest son will be going to NS and then my youngest son will be seniors in his secondary school!

My eldest girl will be graduating from poly next year too and hope she can get into University as she plan and enjoy her tertiary path...

Oh.. it's difficult to load a photo here now.. maybe I need to explore further..  ehm.. photo of my precious 3 with their favourite instant noodle...

First ang bao from my 1st born on my 2020 Birthday

See how horrible I am!!  Did not post regularly and happened to see this photo while trying to clear my online storage, cos it is telling me my storage is at 98% full now!! OMG...

Back in 2020, during the covid peak, before vaccines were available, my 1st born gave me an ang bao for my birthday!!  Appreciate her thoughts, giving me her savings and some lucky stars!! Love her to the moon & back!  So back in 2020, she was only 15... I do not remember giving my parents ang bao for their birthdays during my teenage years! Hahaha...

School year 2022

Comes another new year for my children!!

My 2nd born baby is in his upper sec this year, Sec 3 and finally in long pants now!!  As usual, he just super hate to be photographed, his unhappy face early morning at 620am!! Hahaha... sorry baby...

My first born in Sec 5 this year... really hope she can thrive for better results to get into her ideal place for her tertiary education!!  Lucky thing is, she is still my baby who will listen to my advice.  I hope she can really put in her effort to get better results to get into poly of her choice!! Good luck baby!

This year, as usual, Primary school kids returned to school in staggered mode based on their levels, again, due to the Covid pandemic.  As during the start of the year, children below 12 years old, were not vaccinated yet, thus MOE decided to let the P1 kids start first, so they would not get overwhelmed with all the primary school kids.  And 3rd baby only starts school the next day, and blur me again, forgot to take photo of him on his first day of school!! SO I can only take a shot of him when I picked the kids back from school together! Hahaha...

A night out to the Night Festival

We decided to go for a walk to this year's Night Festival.  I remembered the last time I went for such event was maybe between 2014 to 2016, long long way back.

Anyway, WL was joining his colleague for some brisk walking session in the late afternoon and decided to meet us outside for dinner after 3rd born's piano session.  And here we are, at Tiong Bahru first time trying out Greek food!!  Not a bad choice, as my kids prefer anything NOT rice! Hahaha... And here, we were served with pita (flatbread) bread to go with some dips & other dishes.  At least, we were ALL full by the time we are done.  Their desserts were nice, especially their rice pudding.  And my after meal coffee was intense! Hahaha... wish me luck in sleeping later!

So, here we are, at the Art Museum for the Night festival!! After the below photo was taken, we found my 2nd born teacher at the side waiting to acknowledge him!! Hahaha... what a coincidence, we can actually bumped into his teacher at the this time at the same location!!  And surprisingly, he recognized him even with the mask on!!

As usual, the Night festival is mainly using lights to screen on some of local's attraction and mainly in the central area.  Interestingly, the padang field was a nice location as many of us can find a spot and sit around, enjoying the night scenery here.

My super laid-back son... busy messaging his friend on his encounter with their teacher! Hahaha...

Nice back-drop!!

We have really nice night CBD in our little red dot country, i didn't realised this photo captures the moon!

Me & my first born!! Always doing selfie or rather wefie!!  Girls are afterall girls... the boys just hate taking photos... oops, correction, my 3rd born is still ok with taking photos... it's the teenage boy who hates taking photos!

This photo was posted so we know the height difference between the 2 brothers here!!  What were they doing?  Hahaha...  Anyway, my 2nd born is now the tallest in the family, standing at 1.8m tall, he's hoping he can grow taller, let's see how tall he will go... 👍

We went into the Art museum for a little walk since it was still open at 10pm and there were some events held inside too, which is free, but most of them were closed by the time we were inside.  But good to know we can be back again when we have the time.  This robot below is made up of used electronic devices... and a few exhibits here were mainly focusing on using recycled items to do arts.

A pretty long stretch of escalator, which we made use of for our many wifies! Hahaha...

Volunteering works for the 2 boys

My 2 big As had been doing this kind of job since 2016... but for #3, this is his first... Normally hb will bring the kids for volunteering works during their school holidays... and this June holidays, Alvan join in the fun... I can't recall if he went last year... Anyways, these photos were taken by their daddy... so look at the fun they had... hahaha... Not sure why jiejie did not join this time... maybe she is busy with her school activities... Good job boys! :)

Khatib playgound

No matter how old my kids are, they still like playgrounds!!  Thanks to hb for taking amazing photos!!

As usual, we would normally do our grocery shopping after lunch on Sunday after our morning swim (partly due to #3 having swimming lessons at 11am on all Sundays)...  This playground had been revamped, not sure for how long... hahaha... this playground is the one situated at #1 & #2 childcare center at Khatib... but they can't remember much of it... so... left with OUR memories actually...

I wished the 3 of them can always find comfort and joy playing together... I do not know how long this will last... as they are always arguing with one another now... but I had always been telling them, they must love each other as they grow up together, as they are the ones left when we are not longer around...

See what I mean by Teenager?!??!...  Always on her gadget... sigh...

Boys always remain as Boys... climbing... jumping... hopping... monkeying... hahahaha...

My piano loving sons

Baby #3 started learning piano around Oct last year... he was quite reluctant to go for the lessons as he is a super shy boy and always afriad to be in a new environment.  Lucky, the new teacher is a motherly figure and pretty soft spoke, so he enjoyed his first lesson and progress very quickly... I am very impressed with his love for playing piano now... as he would be the first to be on the piano the moment he wakes up... and throughout the day, practising pieces that were not taught to him yet.  He will play all the pieces in the book on his own!  Even his teacher was impressed, saying he's very fast and most of the pieces he would say he had learned on his own at home!  And with his enthusiastic in learning to play, it somehow affected his brother!!! So now, my house is always filled with piano tunes throughout the day!! And baby #2 is getting so much better at it too!!! So glad the boys can play very nice tunes on piano... fulfilled my wish of having children playing beautifully on the piano!!

The 2 boys were also performing in the piano school year end concert last year on 29 Dec!  Super proud since baby #3 only started learning from Oct! And baby #2 pieces was very smooth and impressive!! Keep up the good work sons!!  Mummy is super proud of you 2!!

Warrior shoes

My 2nd baby had told me about this warrior school shoes last year, but I did not put to my mind to get it for him since I had bought a few pairs of Bxxx shoes for school.  And I always find velcro shoes are easiest to put on and since every morning to school seems to be always in a rush, so my reasoning stays! Hahaha...

But, since school started about 2 weeks plus, his old shoes were torn really fast due to the weekly washing and his power kicks during all his soccer time during PE. So, I thought to get his fav warrior shoes since its easier available from our neighbourhood shops at our market and seriously, it's much cheaper compare to the Bxxx brand which I had been buying since #1 baby starts going to school, which is about 8 years back!

And this day, we happened to have our lunch at a nearby coffee shop and I had ask him to go get us drinks! And so accidentally happened that an uncle in front of him spilled a drop or 2 of tea on his new shoes, he was really angry when he's back to our seat! And keep looking at the careless uncle and mumbling! Hahaha...

The moment he stepped into the house, he took his shoes and went into the toilet to remove the stains!!! Woah!!! Am super impressed!!!  And he even told me, am going to remove the stain myself, not going to let aunty do it for me!

So Son, pls continue this spirit as you grow so I can relax a bit on my household chores... hahaha... good work! Keep it up son! Proud of you!

Public transport day....

I was assigned to bring my 2 boys with me from home to the Sports Stadium, as WL had bought the tickets to catch PSG vs Atletico match in Singapore!!  To save the time & hassle of him going around this small island to pick us all up, easier for me to take public transport with my 2 boys there.

Here we are, as ever, my super happy boy to take bus & MRT across the island... I have no idea, why he would be sooo obsessed with all the different mode of transport since a young age!

Lucky for them, the feeder bus was a double-decker one! So, off they zoom up to the top the moment they got onto one!

My super funny faced boy!  A good chance to show them how to transfer from the NSL to the Circle line... since they have been in cars the day they were born till now... Lucky kids huh!!??

FINALLY HERE!!! whew... lucky I didn't lose my way... hahaha.... Been a long long time since I take public transport too, technically speaking, since we had our first newborn, we bought a car to ferry the kids around... :p

My baby is going Primary school soon...

Time indeed flies... my last baby will be attending primary school starting next year!  He attended his P1 orientation last Saturday and it's also my first time attending P1 orientation!  Hahaha .. so funny, why is it my first P1 orientation when I have got 3 children?  And when my 1st newborn will be attending Secondary school next year??!!! What had I been doing??? OMG...

My baby sitting in his class at the hall enjoying some performances before heading to his class...

Can you spot my 1st newborn here?? Yes, jiejie is having her last performance for the school this year!!

I was peeping at baby while daddy was busy filling up some forms upstairs... and my baby was happily chatting with a new classmate! Laughing and enjoying himself here!!

My little boy in a BIG school!!!

Trying out his uniforms at home!!! Smart mummy bought the correct size without him there to try... hahaha...

Alvan visit to Primary Sch with CC

Alvan will be in Primary one next year and am glad that his childcare is trying to help him understand the difference and challenges he will be facing.  I decided to follow them for the outing so I can help further explain to him and guide him along as we will not be allowed to go into the sch after he attends Pri 1. Though its a different primary school but the concept is there....

A group photo outside the Primary Sch we are visiting.

The Vice Principal was really nice to show us around the computer lab, library and music room, explaining to the children what is going on there...

A visit to the small garden with fishes, frog and tadpoles!!!  Kids were happily spoting some spiders and spider webs!

The VP had also arranged for half the class of chuldre to attend a PE lesson and music lesson!!!  Alvan was assigned to PE lesson playing hula hoop!  A fun 30mins to activity for all!!!

By 10, the children were led to the canteen to try buying their own food and eating it, a very different experience compared to childcare arrangement of being served.

My baby paying for his food, he only mentioned noodles and the kind stall owners gave him eggs, chicken, broccoli and a pc of watermelon!!!

Bringing his plate of noodle, finding a seat and sit for his food!

Hahaha... My super slow baby still eating his food while his friends were busy clearing their plates!!!

When asked if he enjoys Pri sch? He answer was no, he doesn't like PE and hula hoop and also not this school!!! I just hope he would like his school next year, with the help of his korkor to bring him along and coming back home with him!!!  A milestone he would reach very soon...  His orientation will be coming in November!!! Really fast, my last baby is going into a Primary school, learning many new things under the proper education system.
