Alvan CC journey - Day 2

Day 2
Managed to get his uniforms all ready for official childcare journey...  He didn't quite like the idea of putting on the uniform, but I told him, jiejie and korkor also put on their uniforms for school, so the same applies for him.. Thus, he reluctantly put them on... hahaha...

Catching his TV show before he goes off to school...

He specifically tell me, mama, no... when he saw me trying to take a shot of him with my smart phone... :p

I accompanied him into the childcare today as well, but am going to let him join the rest of his friends to take a nap there... I had told him that I'll pick him up after his nap, and he nods his head... :p  And his first time taking shower by a aunty here... He tried telling me to shower him, but I told him, mama can only shower you at home, and since you are in school now, teacher will have to shower you... so he followed the aunty into the toilet... :)  This is him after shower and having Maths lesson... :p

I sneaked out while he was having his Maths lesson and this is some shots taken while me hiding behind a big pillar... hahaha... :p

Alvan self-feeding his lunch, macroni with fishballs... one of his favorite food, fishball and no-rice item! Haha...

The children being led into a corner after lunch so the aunty can mop the place and prepare the kids for their nap..
Not sure if you can spot my Alvan?? Just a fraction of him here... hahaha... behind the squating boy... catching a little bit of Barney before nap time.. :)

It took quite awhile for teacher to make him sleep... As it's his first time sleeping without hammock and direct latch from mummy... :p  I did gave him a bolster, hope it does some helping... But he was happily singing his ABC and numbers before that... hahaha... all the children had slept and by the time my boy's in lala land, it's about 45mins later... :p

So it's my turn to go for my lunch and I was back to pick him up at about 3:40pm, as I went to pick the 2 siblings back from school... :) When asked what he had for lunch, he said 面面 and fishball and bannana!!  Which matched what I saw!! Hahaha... Good job boy!! :)

Alvan going childcare - Day 1

The time has come to finally send my baby Alvan to a child care now. In fact, it's consider a late entry for him as his elder siblings started attending childcare when both were 2 years and 3 months old.  I was, in fact, very reluctant to send him into a childcare as he's my youngest son and since the elder 2 kids are in Primary School now, I actually have more time with him as I would be home by 1pm daily to pick the 2 elder siblings back home. But WL had been urging me to send him into one so he can learn more things especially social skills. But I had been trying to look for a nearby childcare since the elder 2 had graduated from the last childcare and after the change of management, the childcare does not seem to be any better.

Anyways, we had thought of sending Alvan into a new childcare but I was having 2nd thoughts after the way the management had handle his registration.
1. We were informed at the very last minute that he was given a place in the school and was asked to go for a tea session the day before thru email only!
2. After the tea session was I aware that he was given a place and his class can only start a month later as they can't find a teacher yet.
3. No formal registration was done prior to actual start of childcare and the registration forms were again, emailed to me.
4. There was no phone calls or anything in confirming a place for my son in the childcare, everything was thru email and I was lucky that their emails had reach me thru my inbox as most of my mails would have gone into my spam folder!
5. When I called to ask about withdrawal, their VP told me that no deposit would be refunded to me as the withdrawal was done only 3 days before the start of the school and even for the school uniforms which I had ordered will not be refunded even though they were not ready for collection except for the PM session uniforms!!! How ridiculous is this???
6. Before my withdrawal from the school, I had thought of collecting the uniforms back to wash, therefore, I emailed them a week before and asked if they are ready for collection but waited for a few days and no reply. So I called them and asked and guess what their admin told me?  You can come on the first day, we'll shower him and change into the PM uniforms! My question is, no washing required? Then the admin said, oh you want to wash, then I'll check and get back to you.  And guess what, no update since then and the next call for me to them is on withdrawal!!
So, all the above further confirm my withdrawal with the new school!!  Enough said of all my displeasure, I shall continue my update of my baby's journey into childcare.... :)

Day 1
Alvan had no idea about going to school is all about.  We (me, WL and my mum) had been telling him that he will be attending school very soon and trying to prepare him that he will be there alone.  He had been sending his 2 siblings to school pretty often as he gets up early back then, and he knows that his korkor and jiejie go into the school after waving bye & giving him goodbye kisses and they did not cry.  So, he had this mentality that going to school is without mummy.  And before he starts childcare, he's able to tell me that, baby go school, mama go office!!  So, come Day 1, he's able to repeat this to me, but I still accompany him into the school, as it's a totally new environment and schedule for him.

The thing I like about this childcare is that, the teachers would bring the kids to the toilet to wash their hands first thing they come into the center, and before and after their meals!!  Other centers normally give the kids hand sanitizer!! Good practice here... And here's my baby washing his hands before breakfast is served!! And teacher is taking this chance to introduce him to his new friends... ehm... but why in the toilet ah?? Hahaha...

Here's Alvan waiting for breakfast to be served to him... actually he had his breakfast at home daily, so this is just to make sure he's really full before he start his lesson... hahaha..

His 老师 punching stars for the children to stick onto a piece of construction paper, as the children were just taught 白色 and my Alvan trying to figure out what is she doing... hahaha...

See the cheeky side of him, turning back to me with his cheeky grin...

I was not around to see his activity, as I had not done any registration for him till this time, so I was being asked to go to the Principal office and complete the registration, buy his uniforms and settle all admin stuff.  After am done, which was about 10:30am, the Principal went over to see him and I didn't hear any cries from him, and the Principal further assure me that he's doing fine inside, so I left him there and intend to come back for him at about 12pm! :)

And this is my happy boy back from school playing his fire truck bought by daddy the day before... hahaha...

A visit to the Alive Museum

I was rather excited when I saw that those deals website selling deals for Alive Museum before it's official opening in June!!  As this was like the 3D Art Museum we went last year to Pattaya and we were having sooo much fun there and were really amazed with the photos effect.  As this new musuem will be opening in Suntec Tower, so I guess we can't expect too much of it but enough for the locals to have some fun till they travel overseas for a bigger scale of such 3D Museum!! :)

We bought the tickets at the counter and with the Family package, it's actually cheaper than getting from those deals website! Whew...  Anyway, we were pretty early when we reached as we were having our Staycation at MBS... :p

My kids taking their first shot next to the ticketing counter... Does it looks like they were at a sunny beach??

As usual, my super expressive kids!!!  Hahaha... My mum had a good laugh when she saw Ashley's expression and thought it does look real that she was exposing the lady's butt!! :o

Oops... daddy must be really thirsty.... :p

Don't get yourself too wet under the Merlion, son.... hahaha...

Wow!! My Ashley had became a Wonder girl!!! Ain't she heavy???

Oops... the black cat caught the wrong 'mouse'... hahaha...

My 3 darlings under the twilight...

ah... Was the baby naughter or my Ashley??

Yucks!! What are you doing with the elephant's trunk Adwin??

Hahaha... see my cheeky threesome??

Here comes the Giraffe!!

Only after this visit, when I realised there is also another Trick Eye Museum or exhibition at the Sentosa during the same time... Maybe we can check it out later... But this is a fun place to visit if you want to have some fun with friends or family!!!  But do visit during the weekdays, I believe weekends would be packed and it's not easy to pose with too many people around the place, as many spots were kind a bit too squeezy and visitors may need to be squeezed into a corner for others to have a shot, with no strangers in their photos!!!

Trip to Malacca during June holidays (part 2)

We decided to go to Mac for breakfast on the Saturday morning as we understand all Mac around the world served different food according to their culture. But I guess Singapore and Malaysia are neighbours so the food does not differ much... hahaha...

Here's my dose of cappuccino for the day and kids favourite hash browns..

Ashley enjoying her Mac breakfast!

This Mac got a small playground for their kids patrons,  so in my kids went... Ashley is always seen taking care of her 2 brothers...

I can't recall much what we did for that day... hahaha... only photos showing us having Mac breakfast... but I think we went shopping again at the mall behind this Mac outlet...

I did remember we went for Spiderman movie the next day, Sunday and was enjoying so much with the food and hot drinks we got from the stalls... And picture below were us having halal Taiwan food at the Mega Aeon mall.. everyone of us enjoyed the food here as well as the drinks!!

A selfie of me with 3 kids outside the Taiwanese restaurant!

The next day was our last day for this trip and we decided to pop over to the observation tower for some view of malacca!  Actually we had wanted to come over on Sunday but there was no packing lot available and too crowded!!

Here's a view of the surroundings while we were going up...

A truly different view of Malacca... never had such a good view of this small town this day... nice experience bah... ;)

A selfie of me and 2 boys... a cool place to stay in a hot day!! This is a air-conditioned tower... hahaha... we were seating on top of the air-conditioner getting the cold blast before we get under the hot hot sun again....

After the tower ride, we walked over to the small park behind, as there was an old train on display as well this air craft... the picture of the old train was in WL's mobile... so not able to show it here... :p  The 2 elder kids had a try on the trishaw ride here... a mini version though...  Ashley was the cyclist and Adwin the passenger... haha...

We went over to this Nonya restaurant for dinner after some walking for the day... all of us were sooo tired due to the hot hot weather...  this pic was taken before my Alvan took his nap!!

Food and price was ok, considering good and we finally got a taste of the nonya food here... been in Malacca umpty times, but never had the chance to try on the nonya food here...

This is the restaurant we went for, Nonya Suan, just next to the Parkson mall at Melaka Raya... easily located. And good thing is, it was not very packed when we were there and food were served pretty fast!!

A trying to be funny daddy posing with his back when I only wanted to took the pic of the opening hours!!! :(

And since its our last night stay before we head back home tomorrow, my Ashley requested for the Putu Mayam supper and her wish granted!!!

We headed home after our dim-sum breakfast the next day and WL decided to pop by the mall at JB, to get his 'things' and of course, this is another must go place, the black ball dessert!!! :)  And all these ends our Malaysia trip for our June holidays!! :)

My 2nd born had a fractured arm

I received a call from 2nd born school at around 11:30am today saying that he had injured his hand during his inline skating lesson. And the teacher asked if I would like to go over and bring him to the hospital or they called for an ambulance.  I kinda of shock when I heard about calling for an ambulance, so I told them I'll rush over and be there in about 20 mins.  But while I was packing and leaving my office, I decided to call the teacher up again and asked them to call for an ambulance so medical care can be given to 2nd born rather than waiting for me to bring him over. So I called daddy and both of us head over to KKH A & E and wait for my 2nd born arrival!

Upon seeing him I was shock to see that his right arm was pretty badly fractured.  There was an uneven bump close to his wrist. And he started crying hugging on to me. He must have had a bad shock too!! And lucky my sis, 2nd born's yi-yi rushed over after I informed her about it. As he had refused to allow the paramedics to perform any check or aid to his fractured arm. And he also refused to get onto the stretcher and ambulance!  At least with someone he knows, he managed to get onto the ambulance with his yi-yi.

He really had a super bad fractured arm as both the bones were broken and doc got to perform some procedure to make sure the bones are straight before putting on the cast for him.

He was given a jab to make him go into lala land so they can perform the straightening for him without too much of a trauma for him. And after about 20 mins,  he was being pushed out from the treatment room and place at the observation ward for the medication to wean off before we can head home. The picture below is him in lala land mode but with eyes wide opened. Abit scary state but at least we know he is in a stable and on the road to recovery stage.

He was being wheeled to my car. Initially he was rejecting the wheel chair but after me telling him that this is to prevent him from falling as his medicine just wean off and he may still be dizzy, he finally sat on it.  He hates being taken pic when he's not in his handsome mode so all taken secretly... lol..
I was trying to get him onto my car and wanted to take a pic of him and he was angry... showing me his leg!!! :p
Slept along our way home....

He is given 7 days MC and will need to go back for review on the coming Monday... just praying that he can have a fast and smooth recovery... A very brave boy indeed!!! So heart pain to see him crying in pain and suffering...
:(
