Our (1st & 2nd born's) new pet!

Guess our house is going to turn into a pet shop or a farm!!!  Since I started giving WL a fish tank as Xmas present they had been getting lots of pet fishes and prawns!!! An additional tank was bought just to keep prawns about a month ago and now, another small tank was used to keep turtles!!! OMG... And it's supposed to be the kids pet, but the trio (daddy, 1st born and 2nd born) are enjoying their company and my kids are feeding the turtles 3 meals a day just like how they feed themselves!!! Lucky thing is there's no need to shower them, only WL need to change their water daily as it's seriously smell at the end of each day...

My son is always sooo brave with them!!!

I just hope they won't be really buying hamsters at the end of the year!! As their dear daddy promised him to get him one if he can get 85 or 90 marks for his year end exam!!! And from his daily work now, my guess is he should be able to reach the goal set!!! No, I do not want more pets at home!!!! :(

Kids and a castle tent

I must say I've got very easily contented kids??? The 3 were sooo happy when they got this castle tent last week!! Even though it's super hot inside if our air con is not turned on, due to the material that it's made of!!!

This tent is big enough for my 3 kids to get in and have a seat!!! Lol...

I had been eyeing this for a long long time but did not come up with the decision to buy it as I know the kids would be inside for a long time and thus neglected their studies!! But this one was a good bargain as it's the last pc with the supplier and according to the supplier, part of the bag is spoilt but upon receiving, I still so not know what's wrong with the carrying bag...!!

Survival skills

Ashley had all along been trying to help me with works in the kitchen... But I had been bad to reject her offer as most of the time am handling with hot food... I had tried to let her help when am baking as the preparation of the mix or dough requires simple mixing or adding the ingredients from one to the other.

Since her joining of brownie as her CCA, she had requested to help on cooking of rice, etc... So, it came the time for her to learn to do some simple cooking...

My helper had showed her how to wash the rice and cook in the cooker, but feedback had been, Ashley had been mischeviously not follow instruction to only take 1 cup of rice!!! So you see, my girl is a very cheeky one and we need to really stand next to her to monitor her work even though clear instructions had been given to her!!

The other cooking skill taught was frying of egg!! She's getting soooo enthusiastic that she would request to fry egg everyday!! And if the egg yolk got broken from her flipping, she asked to fry another!!!

Guess my next task is to show her how to cook instant noodle!! But I think the end result would be instant noodle daily... So guess I'll procrastinate it to a much later stage or when she can follow instructions!  We shall see...

Our trip to Bangkok 2013 - Day 6

This was our last morning in Bangkok... And we had wanted to do some mini shopping before we get picked up by the van to send us to the airport.

But, the Thais had decided to start their demonstration on this day!! We kind of got a shock as we had wanted to cross over to the other side of the junction, as we only realized the wholesale mall is diagonally opposite our hotel this morning!!! Bumper!!!

We were stuck here for like 30 mins... Anyway the demostration don't seem to be ending anytime, so we decided to cross over when the crowd was abit less...

My Alvan and his Xmas tree before we check out of the hotel!! Lol...

We did enjoyed this 6D5N stay in Bangkok, especially it's the kids first visit to this nice place, but sadly, Thailand had been in kind of chaotic state since we left... And we were kind of lucky to have proceed with the holiday in December 2013 rather than delaying till this year March... Anyway, I believe we would go over there for shopping, massaging or eating again once the country has settled.

Our trip to Bangkok 2013 - day 3

We had arrived and stayed at Pattaya on Day 2, and Day 3 will be an eventful day for the kids, as we will be heading for the beach and some sea activity!!!!

Waiting for the boat to bring us over to the floating platform for the para-gliding *I can't recall what was it called, it's like a parachute where a speed boat will be bringing pulling you up!* Hahaha....

Anyway, it was quite a wait, as an accident actually happened the month before we went over, whereby the boat had capsized due to carrying too many passengers onboard... so there were inspection officers around to make sure all boats are ferrying only a certain number of passengers onboard with the necessary safety precautions...

My Alvan was super scared of the speed boat ride, he just hold onto me throughout the journey closing his eyes!! Hahaha...

This was the activity I mentioned earlier.... hahaha... none of our family members tried it, I did about 20 years back!! Hahaha.... and not flying again, as my Alvan was sticking to me like a super glue... :p

Next destination was an island for some sea activity... My Adwin and daddy went for a motor ski.... Ashley with her friend on another... afterwhich, they were enjoying the beach, sand, sea and sun!!! Hahaha...

Here's me and my Alvan, enjoying the breeze after his nap!! :p

Some BBQ food at the beach... Big prawn and pork ribs!! Not cheap though...

Arriving at the mainland after cleaning up, ready for our lunch!! :p

Here's our lunch location... just 5 mins walk from the beach front...

And a surprising Tutu ride back to our hotel for cleaning up and proceed to our other locations...

A countryside location, showing us a picture of the buddha statue being lasered onto the mountain...

And a visit to a grape plantation... with a small shop selling all grapes snacks and drink...

A grape plantation behind us...

Our last stop for the day was another interesting one... a 3-D art museum... I was really surprised why they would bring us to an Art museum... But it was a trip worth going for the we really had an awesome time here... 2 hours was not enough though... hahahaha...

Can you tell the background here are all paintings on the wall??

They had separated the paintings into many different zones, and telling the tourist what to expect and how to pose with their paintings which made them all sooo hilarious and interesting!!

Would anyone be dare enough to pull the leopard's tail in a Safari??? :o

Are you strong enough to withstand the weight of the big whale???

My Alvan had spoilt this picture... hahaha... The Thais had really put in effort to make sure all paintings look soooo realistic if we posed with the photos as intended...

Our kids first time enjoying a foot massage!!!  With a free cucumber face mask!! Hahaha... They were enjoying soo much after a long day walking that they fell asleep right after it!! :o and me and WL had a full body massage upstairs.... nice!! :)

Our trip to Bangkok 2013 - day 2

We shall begin our tour from Day 2 onwards... Breakfast was included throughout our trip and kids enjoyed the buffet spread...

This was a surprised location, as understood from the tour guide, the itinenary had been changed since beginning of Dec and the Singapore agent was not aware too... Nevertheless, we were glad for the changed!! As we saw this location shot on TV sometime back and thought it would be interesting to come over and have a see and indeed, here we were!!!

This is a train station in a midst of a morning market!!!...

Many tourists were here to have a look of the umbrella market, as the stall owners would move their umbrellas back once the train arrived and immediately put back their umbrella once the train passed by!!! Hahaha...

All cameras ready... Train approaching...

Keeping their umbrellas for the train arrival...

Train reached it's destination!!!

Our next destination was also a surprised one.... Bangkok's first floating market!!!

The river was really narrow and too many boats bringing in all the tourists for a feel of their floating market...

Both sides of the banks are full of stalls selling sourvenirs and other boats selling food rowing or staying put waiting for customers...

Our authentic Thai lunch... Tom Yum soup and other dishes... but my kids did not enjoy it... :p

Outside our lunch eatery...

Our planned destination, The Tiger Zoo...

A room showing tourists that their pig is feeding the baby cubs...

Live Tiger show... but the tigers do look skinny...

Inside the Tiger Zoo, crocodile show... scary... especially when the performers were putting their heads into the crocodiles mouth!!!

They had many Tiger statues inside the zoo.... no real tigers for pictures, but fake ones... LOL...

Our dinner restaurant....

This is the first time the kids were exposed to Ah Gua show!! They were amazed at how beautiful all the lady-men were.... But we had to pay them for a photo to be taken!!!  The 2 young ladies kept going around them for a photo taking, till the parents shouted stop! hahahaha...  It's really amazing how pretty they were and the show was much better than a decade back... it was really entertaining and kids had an awesome time watching the performance!! But I guess it's an eye opener for them and it's a kind of 'been there done that' mentality!! :)
