Mummy's 30th Birthday!!

haha... it's my mummy's 30th birthday the last sunday... But, she was busy bringing me to a Baby Show @ Whampoa CC & i didn't win anything this time again... as usual, she's saying it's not fair... hahaha...

We went to the Mac-Ritche Tree Top walk on National day with ah hoe, jinhong & xiao hua. It was a very tiring walk... i really didn't expect us to be walking sooo much!! Guess how many km we walked?? In total 7km!! & took us about 4hrs to complete it!! Almost killed me, esp with my gal lug in my sling!! But the view was very special!! However, i WON'T wanna try again... it's too tiring for my old body! hahaha...

Contest contest...

Finally done with the busy weekend. As usual, Ashley was not cooperative during the KKH Best Breast Fed contest final, asked her to hit the hammer real hard, she refused, asked her to stack the 2 cars on top of another, she refused, asked her to clap, she refused! haiz... so, she was annouced the 14th winner, the prizes were wonderful, we love them!! & she's also starting to play with them, esp the Nemo car and the mini piano... As usual, u can see from the pic, she's sleeping again during prize giving ceremony! hahaha...

As for the qualifying round for the Super-walker contest by Baby Bonanza, am still quite happy with her, but really need to find things to entice her so she can 'run' to us @ the end of the route! There were really tons of babies there for the competition and understand that those selected babies will be notified by mail & hopefully we would get our letter by today or thursday, else she's out of the race!!

Another interesting thing is, i'm supposed to be queueing up for the registration of the Super Walker, but as a blur mummy, i juz walked into the registration booth & get a no. for Ashley w/o realising there were tons of mummies & daddies queueing up to registered!! Read from the forum, some parents had queued up to 2hrs juz to get a no!! OMG!! For us, everything took about 15mins!! hahaha....

Yahoo Messenger working!!! :D

yo!! finally, got my yahoo messenger working!! i feel so sad when i was disconnected during the last 2 weeks!!! & realized the latest version 8.0 (beta) does not work @ all!!! so had re-installed version 7.5 now... & yippie!!! it's working again!! :D hahaha...

oh yes, juz wanna note this down, my precious hug me like crazy last nite when she sees me after work!!! i'm really sooooo happy!! she juz clap & hug my leg & open up her arms asking for hug hug... so sweet..... ehm... hope she can continue to do these.... :D even this morning, she seems to know i'm gg for work, & juz ask me to carry her... :D

Baby Shows

Been busy for the past weekends, as well for the coming one. Why? Cos i've been enrolling my gal for various Baby shows & baby contests... :D

Here's an update of wat she's been thru...
1) 16 Jul 06 - semi finals for KKH Best breast fed babies (& she was selected as one of the finalist on 5 Aug 06, from 100 babies down to 60 babies, & finally 20 babies!)
2) 23 Jul 06 - Baby Show @ Hwi Yoh CC... she was not a winner at all, feel very disappointed & somehow find it's the judging system that is not fair..
3) 30 Jul 06 - Baby Show @ Chong Pang CC... she got consolation on this (out of the 5 & 3 winners), am quite happy liao! :D though the prizes are not big, but still happy that she was one of the winner out of abt 40+ babies! :D


Coming contest...
4) 5 Aug 06 - Finals for KKH Best breast fed babies contest held @ Suntec @ 2.30pm.
5) 6 Aug 06 - Super Walker contest organised under Baby Bonaza 2006 @ Compass Point from 1-5pm... had enrolled her in other category as well, but till today still no letter for her, so guess she's not entered... :(
6) 20 Aug 2006 - Baby Show @ Whampoa CC... have not sign her up yet, still considering.... hahaha...

We would see new 'pattern' from Ashley daily... which means to say she's growing & learning everyday!! Can be very fun, but @ the same time, can be very tedious on us, cos after work still have to chase after her... but she does shows her happiness whenever she sees either mummy or daddy home after work, she will laugh or smile openly, clap her hands or even dance @ times & open her arms for hugs!! been looking forward to these from her birth & it's really so warming to see her after a long tiring day @ work... :)

oh yes, she had her first dip in the pool on 22 July @ her daddy's colleg's condo... here's a peek of her... she refused to get into the float, & insisted on walking in the pool herself... had some difficulties trying to hold her in the pool though.. but afterall, glad tat she enjoyed herself in there! hahaha...

Dancing Ashley

Realised my precious gal loves to dance... & her dancing is not what normal babies do, she will juz shake her butt front & back, juz like international dancers did, w/o moving her upper body!! hahaha... it's really fun watching her dance & she'll start shaking when she hears music!! hahaha... :D

& yes, I had again enrolled her in another baby contest organised by Channel 8, Baby Bonanza 2006, for the Super Walker held on 6 August 06 @ Compass point... hopefully this time round she can really 'run' to us! hahaha... think will bring along the TV remote control for her to complete the race!! Go go go.... :D

Ashley's First Birthday!

Saturday was Ashley's first birthday!! Finally, she's 1 year old... muz say, time files... been hoping for this day since the day she was born! No party this time, in fact, had gathered both families for dinner on 20 June 06 (Tues) cos it's her chinese calendar birthday. Got her a minnie birthday cake from bengawan solo, it's really nice, but she can't have them yet!! The dinner was at this shanghai restaurant along Bt. Timah Road, it was sooo expensive, but Ashley's daddy say the food is nice!!

We didn't plan for anything big, juz an outing with our gal, since she know how to walk, let her go 'shopping' on her own, cos she refused to be hold, it was quite fun, but had some difficulties trying to make her stay with us, cos she would follow those 'gor-gor' & 'jie-jie' when she sees them in the malls! hahaha... & the most interesting thing is, she had a small fox backpack on her back we got for her when we went Hokkaido!! See how engrossed she is doing her own shopping! hahaha...

And, she had her uncle funny, uncle fatty & lihua jie-jie to celebrate her birthday for her @ Al Dente @ Esplanade, muz say, we enjoyed the food, cos I love italian food! :D Anyway, it was really a nice moment for her!!

My wish for my gal is for her to grow up happily, healthly & cheerfully!! & of cos, hope she can be as capable as her parents & grow up to be a fine lady!! :D

4th tooth!

yo!! saw her 4th tooth coming out from the top!! hahaha... really happy for her...

been a very busy week too, cos we're preparing to go to Hokkaido tomorrow nite!! so need to finish up the work on hand b4 i go for my leave. busy also cos Ashley is sick this time, having quite a bad flu, cos she had a running nose & quite bad for her case as she dunno how to 'sneeze' out from the nose & she feel irritated tat we keep rubbing & cleaning her!!... juz hope she can recover from it very soon... :(

think gonna miss her badly for the 1 week we're in Hokkaido, the first time i won't see her for a week... juz hope it can pass faster & we also can enjoy ourselves there...

New Tricycle from Grandpa

Ashley got a new tricycle from grandpa today!! Can see she's amazed by the tricycle when she's put in it & being pushed around by grandma! haha... Muz say kids nowadays are so fortunate, they got so many fun toys around these days... we only get to play with sand, rubber bands & marbles (for boys) during our childhood days... shall take a pic & post in here...

& she's officially 11 mths today!!! Happy 11th month Birthday!!! 1 more month to 1 yr old liao... tat's fast! :D

3rd tooth!

oh ya, realized Ashley's 3rd tooth is out at the top last Sat (27 may)!! & she was screaming to eat the watermelon last nite, so let her have a bite & in the end she enjoyed it so much, she juz bite a big mouth & start chewing in her mouth! haha... really fun to see her enjoy tat! juz hope her tooth are coming out soon & she can eat most of the food with us liao... another mth & she's 1 year old liao... pretty fast... :D can't wait to see her walk on her own. now she enjoy cruising so much if we carry her by force, she'll scream her lungs out! :D

another 6 days & we'll be going to Hokkaido, but have to leave Ashley with my mum, cos she's still too young to go for a holiday! hope we can bring her for holiday soon!! :)

First Zoo Trip

wow, been a long time since the last posting!! been pretty busy @ work for the past 2 weeks or so & had little time for my gal, by the time i'm home, she's asleep!

she went to the zoo for the first time last saturday (27 may) cos it's her daddy's org's Family day 2006!! seems like she's still too young to know all the animals & see no reaction from her when we show her Polar Bears / Sun Bears / Tiger / Kangaroo / Penguins, etc... maybe she only love those fishes we saw! haha... good thing is it didn't rain tat day, but it's pretty humid, even with 2 fans it's not enuf to cool her off... but our family definitely have a fun time with Jinhong & Lihua! oh yes, forgot to mentioned, our car was abit dented from the car who bang into us while we were looking for car lot @ the zoo... lucky it's juz a small dent @ daddy's door... another unlucky thing is, we lost the paper in which daddy wrote the driver's contact on... haiz... :(

My First Mother's Day

This sunday (14 May) marks my first Mother's Day after Ashley is born! Ehm, no special feeling, guess gotta wait till she's old enough to greet me or rather, upon my first Mother's day card from her, then I would feel something special! But, nevertheless, muz thank my hubby for the card (trying to imitate my Ashley in there!) & the presents he had got for me! & of cos, the cake, a very special flavour (chocolate & banana)!!

As usual, Ashley just love to crawl about nowadays & she can crawl about in the house for an hour with no tiredness seen in her, whereas, we are oredi exhausted! :D guess this stage is a very memorable ones & hopefully can get it over with pretty fast... haha...

Am quite reluctant to blog this part, cos something unpleasant happened on Sat & it's really unforgetable, being my first Mother's day & such arguement happened! But still, blog tis down to remind myself to look things @ a different view and maybe to have a broader mindset! Ehm, everyone is different, each have his/her own personality & opinions/views in everything. I also hope, this is a phase everyone goes through & be able to grow & learn from there! It's a rather tough experience for me, cos not being understood by my closed ones & it's hard to explain tat kind of feeling until u experienced it! Anyway, truthfully hope everything will be back to normal soon... & have to say a big Thank you to my hubby for being there for me no matter wat & most importantly, stand by me! & yes, not forgetting my mum for everything she did for us, it's not something we Asians do, to say I love you, but hope she can feel it somehow someday!!

My crawling Ashley

Finally, last workday of the week... hopefully can have a good rest during this long weekend... the next holiday will only be in August oredi...

Now, Ashley loves to crawl & whenever we try to carry her, she'll try her ways to wriggle herself out of our arms to land on the floor... how i miss those days where i can juz carry her in my arms the whole day... chlidren does grow very fast... soon she'll outgrow this crawling stage, to the walking/running stage! think by then both of us would be exhausted with chasing her around... :D

hem... finding it hard to write down wat happens everyday! haha...

Ashley is getting naughtier as the day goes by, she'll scream for things she want & when u snatch things from her, she also scream... is tat how a 10mth old baby should react??...

Juz another day...

Really glad Ashley's red spots had subsided... so not measles afterall, juz a outbreak due to the fever... seems that her face had grown smaller, muz be due to the fever & diarrhoea the past few days... hope she can gain back her weight soon... :) nothing much for today... juz another blue monday... tired from work & insufficient sleep...

it's been some time back since Ashley had mid night feeds, seems like for the past week she had been getting up in the middle of the night (ranging from 4am to 5am) for her feed & it's really tiring...

Baby & Junior Race 2006

Sign up my gal for the race, but my super 'kpo' Ashley, keeps getting out of her track wanna go 'visit' other babies!! of cos, took her a long time to complete her 3m race! haha.. but it's pretty fun!! Though she didn't win in the race, but managed to win the online photo contest on 'My Happy family'!! Got herself a Walk & ride walker from Playskool, a toy car, disposable place mat from Mothercare & Disney Princess bowl & plate!!

Had thought she had measles & brought her to the doc @ Khatib, Joy Clinic, but cos of the time constraint, talked to the nurse and decided to monitor her condition for these few days... cos the red spots seems to be disappearing...
